I think my dd is still quite young for potty learning but she has been showing lots of interest in using the "regular" potty. She lets me know when she has to go poo by saying so and running to the potty. She also takes off her diaper when it's wet.

I want to get her a potty seat so that she can feel comfortable sitting on her own when she wants to. Any suggestions mamas?

TIA

Bjorn... hands down. I tried 3 different kinds that went on top of the toilet & 4 different potty chairs when we first started. Bjorns are the only ones that he would sit on, the little one piece when he was under 2 & now the bigger 2 piece one (the little one is now the emergency car potty).

We love this one, the Graco soft seat (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/601-5227129-9436147?ASIN=B000067K22&AFID=Froogle&LNM=B000067K22|Graco_Soft_Seat_Trainer_Potty_Chair&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B000067K22&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001). We like that it had a lid and was soft and comfy. It also doubles as a step-stool and the seat can go on the potty.

Another Bjorn lover! DD had the royal potty but every time she got up she had big red marks on her bum. So I went and bought the pink Bjorn and she loves it. She sits on it even when she doesn't have to go and no more red marks. Definitely worth the money!!!

I also recommend the Bjorn. I tried another kind because it was cheaper and I just couldn't see spending $25 on a potty chair. DD hated the other one and wouldn't ever sit on it. Got the Bjorn (in pink, which she loves) and she has been so interested in sitting on it and going every since. She seems comfortable and it doesn't slide all around on the floor, which makes it easy for her to get off and on. Definitely worth the money.

Does anyone find that the splash guard gets in the way for their little girls? (on the bjorn)?

No my dd is 28 months old and she has no problem getting on or off. She has plenty of space.

i have a boy so I can't comment but i couldn't live without that splash guard. we love both our baby bjorn toilet seat and potty chair.

and she's not to young. if she's showing interest run with it! or she'll be 3 before it happens again.

I am not going to buy another potty chair, as dd initially didn't even understand them--"mom & dad use a real potty, so what's that chair thing?," basically, so we have one of those standard ovals that fits on a toilet, and dd uses that. However, we discovered the new Bjorn potty this week, the pink one, and dd pulled it off the shelf and sat on it, happy as a clam, (and kept sitting, and kept sitting,) and cried when I put it away. So she likes that one a lot, lol. (We have the soft & comfy or some such thing potty chair from BRU, the one with the soft blue ring that also goes on a toilet, and she keeps toys in it, LOL.)
