Avanlee Birth & Maternity Center.....

This is where DH is stationed at and we leave Fl on April 10th to go to Tx. I am currently being seen by the midwives at The Birth Cottage in Tallahassee and want to be seen by this Birth center when we move.

So I was wanting to know how did you like it and what was you over all experince?

TIA

I dont' think Tricare covers there (unless maybe if you're standard?) Right now Metroplex hospital and Darnell ar the only two availible i believe, although scott and white hospital use to take patients they are no longer. Had my son there in September, but a pregant friend of mine got kicked back to darnell.

The parking lot always seems decently full, although it could be for the other business in that strip. Good luck! I always wanted to check it out myself :)

I had my baby at Scott and white in temple a couple weeks ago... Darnell and Metroplex were full. Any on call doctor will deliver the baby... don't waste time when you get here, get the refurrals in right away. They are so slow. I saw my doctor 3 times before i delivered. Lucky things were fine in January when I left Utah. I did not see the doc untill end of March. Any other questions let me know... Happy Swapping. Kaye

I delivered my first at Scott and white, 6 years ago. I had Dr. West from the Killeen Clinic. He was awesome. I was able to push for 3 hours (postier baby first time mom) and he used a different blood sugar scale than a Dr. at Metroplex that wanted to hospitalize me for having a 3 hour with one point over his little scale. Oh and Scott and white did have a labor and delivery suite, which I was able to use (they tried to move me as I was pushing and I had to remind them it was a delivery suite, guess they didn't actually plan on me delivering in it. LOL! But they did let me.) I had an awesome nurse who stayed on past her shift to be there for the birth of my baby, which was really nice. Also they do rooming in with baby! So my baby was with me the whole time and since they weren't full I had the double room to myself with husband and baby.
