DS is about to outgrow his carseat. I can't believe it. He was 30lbs the last time he was weighed a few months ago and his seat goes to 40lbs, but he's almost reached the maximum height.
We are looking at the Britax Regent. Here's my problem..
On the carseat we currently have (Evenflo Tribute), he MOVES THE CHEST CLIP from it's correct position. I am constantly looking in my rear view and telling him to move it back up. It FREAKS ME OUT. He also will do this in order to slip his arms out of the restraints. When I look at the pics of the Regent online, it looks like the same deal. Is there a carseat that will solve my problem?

I would be sure his harness is tight enough, you should not be able to pinch the harness at his colarbone. If he moves the clip down(which is very hard with Britax because of the HUGS) he shouldnt be able to get his arms out.
I think the Regent is a great seat! You should also try the Nautilus.

Thanks! I did go through the entire instruction manual and it did say that if the harness is tight enough, it shouldn't easily move in either direction. I tightened up the harness and it's harder to move, but he can still do it.
I have a hard time with the harness issue. I'm constantly having to adjust it based on what he's wearing or if he has a CD on...

The problem is not always the harness tightness. We have the same issue with my oldest, and I assure you that his harness is tight enough (DH & I are both techs).
A plus with the Regent is that it has HUGS on the harness. You could push the HUGS up so that the harness retainer clip (chest clip) is all the way at the bottom of the HUGS.

Wow I must have missed the Nautilus. It looks smaller, which may work better for us. We have a 95 Ford Windstar and the seat on that thing is so narrow. (Our rear facing bucket was always hanging off the edge of the seat)

I just looked at the close-up picture of the HUGS on a Regent. I see what you mean...that looks like it would work with my escape artist.
