Hi Texas!
I just opened a small boutique at the Brownstone Village in Central Arlington called "Carried Away". The focus is on baby carriers, but there are other items as well. Anyway.... I have 3 carriers right now-babyhawk MT, maya RS, and peanut shell. I have space for one more and I can't decide if I should go with zolowear solarveil (with summer coming), a wrap, or a structured carrier like the ergo or Beco. I can only choose one right now. Advice please!

Oh I can't help decide because I love all carriers, but I will definitely come visit you soon!!! How exciting! Where is brownstone village, we've been living in Arlington for a while now but I still don't get out of my little bubble often.

I *LOVE* my Ergo for my bigger kiddos. But I would never have made it with two kids without my wrap. I would be torn between those. A wrap might sell better...

Are you wanting "name brands" or are you looking for locals?

I'm not a local by any means, but here are my thoughts...
Wrap, because you already have one of each of the other catagories of BWing.
or..
an SSC, and my choice is Beco, just because I think most "mainstream" people want to see all the fabric options available, and not the plain colors of Ergo. But I'm just Beco-biased!

Originally, I wanted both. However, I have learned that in order to protect myself, I have to sell carriers that come with liability clauses that protect the vendor. Name brands have this clause.....

Thanks for responding with a suggestion! I really appreciate it.

First, thanks for responding.

The Brownstone Village is in Central Arlington close to the intersection of Norwood (which turns into Abram going east) and Bowen. It is across from a Kroger.
2408 W. Abram Street, 76013

My 'store' just opened last Thursday. The website is not finished yet :(
The Brownstone is really neat. It is the old skating rink that has been turned into boutique shopping, a beauty salon and nice mexican restraunt. I rent a space for my store and so there are lots of other vendors there as well that rent spaces. The owners keep a watch on the product lines there to make sure that it stays upscale (it is really really nice). It is a great place for original trendy gifts as well as a great place to shop for yourself or baby/child. There's a few vendors there that sell cloth diapers. There is not a large variety of them, but I think one of them makes them. Another one sells some with monkeys on the bum.

I've toyed with the idea of selling bumgenius, but I don't know if there is enough demand.

I don't know if you are still asking for suggestions or not, but I would go with a SSC of some type. There is something about buckles & webbing that attracts mainstream-ish people who would otherwise think carriers are weird or too complicated.

Congrats on the store opening! I will try to check it out sometime!

:yeahthat:
I can order ergo colors online. for instance dh likes the ava butterfly but the momma's I saw on here doesn't have the two birds and spider webs so we'll be going local to get us one so I can see the prints. fwiw I went to college in arlington and my family is still there so I'll visit when home!

I have a ring sling and a Moby Wrap... and the wrap is definately my favorite!!! So, that's my 2 cents!

YEAH:lostit: I know what i'm doing this weekend. I would be interested in either the Ergo or the Beco. I am liking the Ergo and have never seen or tried a Beco so i am going to say Beco.
