visitin u.s.- looking for a cleavland carseat and nyc apt.

hello DS mamas

our little family will be visiting the u.s. from mid april till end of it.
we are looking for a toddler carseat that we can borrow from 18 april till 24 april. we land in cleavland ohio (shaker heights), and rent a car for a week.

also- during our second part of the trip
we are looking for a place to live in new york from 24 april to 29 april. so, i thought to ask here- if anyone has a place to rent, sublet, house-sitting etc. in a reasonable price, in menhattan or anywhere near, please PM me.
we are 3: man and wife, and a cute 1.5 yrs DD

I used to life in Manhattan. Good luck finding anything afordable. Most private shortterm rentals are dumps.

The only extra car seat we have is one of the 3pt ones that go over the child's head, which aren't really that safe. Kinda like this: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4875437

If you are desperate you are welcome to it though! I know there are some other mamas that live in the Cleveland area, maybe one of them will reply with a better car seat!
