Hi,
I know I want one, unless I can get a screaming deal on a Britax. Anywho, she won't hardly ride in there, and she'll be in the front seat (the middle) when she does ride. There isn't too much room, so I need some help from you smart mamas, pretty please!

The Triumph is a pretty wide seat, sitting at 19.5" across. If you're looking at that, you might want to look at the Fisher Price Safe Voyage (same width). It's around the same price, but it's a stripped down Marathon made by Britax (only goes to 55lbs ff).

If you want something slimmer, you might want to look at the Evenflo Titan (18") or even the Graco Comfortsport (17", though the harness height is an inch lower than the max of the Titan/Triumph.)

If you are gonna get a Triumph, make sure it's the Triumph ADVANCE. Like the PP mentioned, it is a wide seat though. How old is your DD? And will she be FF or RF?

A reasonably priced spare seat that we recommend is the Cosco Scenera. It's not as wide as the Triumph, it RFs to 35lbs.

A question...does your hubby's truck have an airbag? If so, I'd recommend that she be as far from it as possible. If I was putting a seat in a truck, I'd have it RF on the passenger side w/the passenger airbag turned off. Or FF with the seat slid back as far as possible. (Seat can't RF in front of an airbag).

Thanks for your help mamas. I think I'm going to get the Fisher Price Safe Voyage.

I have another question tho. When the specs say RF to 35lbs, is it unsafe to keep her RF to the max weight limit of say 55 lbs?

Yes, very. The seat works differently in each position. Rearfacing, it absorbs more of the impact. Going over what it is rated for in that position risks the seat breaking.
