3d ultrasound

has anyone gotten a 3d ultrasound yet? we're waiting til May because they say thats when you can see facial features the best. i was a little disappointed with my regular ultrasound so we decided to try the 3d.

I have an appt. on April 8th for a 3D/4D ultrasound. I'll be 24 weeks, which the lady on the phone said was a good time. Mainly, I am just going to make sure he is still a he. LOL

I went in for a regular, black and white u/s and the tech flipped back and forth from that to 4D :D It was exciting! I was almost 20 weeks and my baby looks exactly like my last baby! It's incredible!

Hmmm... I had one done w/ DS2 and it was neat. I don't know b/c I have to have another u/s to make sure my placenta has moved up and I was thinking of just paying the $75 out of pocket vs. what is left over after insurance. Guess I need to find out when is best and if they can still check the placenta.

Sigh...My doctor won't even let me have a regular ultrasound!

I can pay 150$ for a 3D ultrasound but I cannot afford it.

You're seeing an OB? And, they wont give a 20 week US? That is seriously bizarre.

i am high risk and i have had ultrasound at between both boys

We're planning ours for the end of the month, our anniversary to be exact. Our tech said her fav is week 28 and it just happened to work out that was perfect timing. We haven't had one before so I'm excited.

I'll be the black sheep here and say that I would LOVE to have your OB! :thumbsup: My old OB was all about pushing unnecessary ultrasounds... I had 3 with that pregnancy and declined/refused several more. I didn't want ANY this time around but ended up with 1 in the ER due to non-pregnancy related issues, the 20-weeker at DH's request (as a condition for UC), and now a 28 week totally useless and unnecessary followup US that I do NOT feel comfortable having.

So, wanna trade? ;)

I want one so bad! I wanted one w/ DD but before I signed up to have it at 36weeks I had her at 34. So end of April early May we plan on one!

Wow. Thats crazy & I would be mad! I am due for another at 30weeks. But then again...I am also high risk & had several.

Yes!!

I have a buch of issues with my OB, but I don't want to hijack this thread. I will start a new one soon to complain!
