Looking to add 3-4 more xs and 1 S and 2 dozen nb pf's from nicki's diapers. I'm waiting on fitteds until I don't need 500 a day....ebf poo just happens soooooo often!!!

I am not really sure what exactly I want in my babys stash since I didnt start CDing ds2 until he was over 4 months. I was collecting tiny diapers as soon as I was ready to start trying again.
I already have:
1 doz preemie prefolds
1 doz infant prefolds
2xs thirsties covers
3 sm proraps covers
3 random nb fitteds
3 s fuzzibunz
2 sm me made pocket diapers
on the way are (but most will be used by ds first)
1 wishbox
2 nb mutts
2 os mutts
I am also hoping to get a custom mutt order prior to this baby. I am on the waitlist.
4-6 XS PUL snapping wraps (all different brands-I had the hardest time finding one that worked for my specific newborn's size last time.)
4-6 S PUL snapping wraps (all different brands.)
4-6 S wool snapping wraps
Everything gender neutral, since we won't be finding out the sex. Size small is for prefolds, size medium is for fitteds, and large+ are pockets.

I won't be buying until much later on but, I want to get hemp prefolds with fleece or wool covers, AIO and pockets that are a one size. What ever I can find for a good price here or new. I can't wait till I start buying but, I'm trying to be good just until I get further along. :)

lol, trust me, the medium stash won't be simple...
I would love to go all out with the newborn stash, but since we won't be finding out the sex, it's not as fun. I love how cute fitteds can be, so I figure my medium stash will be quite extensive. :giggle2:

I actually had thought about selling all of dd's diapers and going with a diaper service for dd and #2... call it a moment of insanity brought on by early pregnancy...
You know those services cost $80 a friggin month?! :yikes: NOTE that is for ONE KID and it's just the prefolds. no covers or wipes included.
I'm thinkin of starting with all pfs, probably GMD orange. IDK, I didn't start CDing dd untill she was 7 months old. I KNOW we can't swing pockets or fitteds and I think I'll knit all the longies/soakers we need. As far as covers go, I'll go with 3 or 4 Thirsties.
Does this sound doable?
What do you do with diapering a newborn at night?

well, so far i have/have planned:
24 GMD orange newborn prefolds
6 newborn prowraps
4 xs thirsties
2 - 3 interlock soakers (not sure on brand yet)
some yummy knit longies (waiting for gender on these)
still tryin to decide if i want another dozen GMD orange or some fitteds. nb mutts seem to be a fav.

I want to try all of the different sizes because I had so many issues with fit with DS. (He has a super trim waist with big chunky thighs. I went through all sorts of sizing problems with prefolds and covers.)
So far I'll be getting MotherEase airflow wraps (our favorite with DS), Bummis super snap, prorap snaps, and anything else I can find that is snapping.
For wool Im going with Sugarpeas, Little Beetle, Rumpsters, Loveybums and Staccinator.

well with DD I bought all smalls and nothing fit..:giggle:
for 2 months at least and everything was HUGE!
with DS I made 12 fitteds I had 2 doz preemie PFs 6 newborn FB and 12 covers and he didnt fit good into much. I ende dup only cding part time with what did work
with this baby I am going to make a doz fattycakes newborns and buy all the covers
I am going to have probably 1 doz pfs
and the rest will be AIOs or pockets. Oh and I want several longies that I will make and some fleece soakers as well
not sure on brands yet.. I wont really be buying much until I am further along.
we are also not finding out the gender of this baby so I need all GN fabrics:thumbsup:

Could someone tell me if prefolds hold all that nb bf poop? Especially without leg elastics! Any help would be so helpful!
Also, does anyone know if BG's or HH OS work for newborns?

I'm only 7wks, but I think I'm nearly done with the nb stash!:giggle: I didn't start cd'ing dd until she was 9 mos, and this is probably my last, so here it is:

I'll be knitting my own wool. I have lots in the stash to choose from - from girly to boyish to gn (from Laines Magnifique, LTK, SUTS, Dyeing to Fly, DD, Tykie Knits, 1 lb of gaia organic merino worsted, 1 lb of gaia organic bulky) and some Bugsnugger on order to be dyed up - and I bought some malabrigo last night)).
DD was 9lbs even, so, I 'm not expecting anyone that will be in nb's for too terribly long!

i am definitely a pocket/AIO kind of girl :giggle: I hate fitteds. So I am not sure what I am going to use yet....for the twins, I used the NB VB AIO's and I LOVED them, but I have since come to hate velcro and how it snags my pretty dipes :yuck: So I am in limbo....I may get some PBPD's and some XS FB's and call it good until they get to mediums....and we have SOOOO many mediums from the twinkies that we are totally already set with that stash.
I have never used XS FB's, I wish they came in colors, but we may go ahead with them anyway....has anyone ever tried the VB hybrids in NB size? Since those snap, they might be an option as well....oh and I was also considering the DE AIO's even though I didn't care for the testers when they first came out, I might give them another shot. :thumbsup:

I am more of and all in one person. So I plan on making some of my own diapers. I have the stuff to make about 35 nb and 8 smalls to add to the 14 smalls my SIL gave me. Then I plan to just move into the BG OS that I have.

I'm an AIO and pocket lover here....I didn't start CDing with DD until she was almost 5 months though. I really like bG so I think I might get a few XS AIO. I'll probably try to get some XS and S FB as well. Other than that I have no clue! We're on a super tight budget, so I can only buy when I find super awesome deals or something on the FFS board! I can't even do trades right now because the only things I had available were baby clothes and other baby items....and I'll be needing those now!

I make all of my own diapers & I'm planning on making 24 NB AIOs plus a few PUL covers to use over the prefolds I bought. I already have some Small diapers from last time. I'm planning on making around a dozen more AIOs & pockets to give me more time between washing. I've never cd'd a newborn. We started cd'ing my DD when she was about a month old.

I have a nice stash in size Med-LG since I didn't get to CD'ing my dd until she was 2yrs old and I didn't CD my first dd at all...so with this baby we've got a nice selection of dipes once the lil one hits a SM/MED. I have 9 OS Motherease but the legs make it seem as though they'd be a better fit for Med to XL but we'll see once the lil one is here. I bought 2 dozen prefolds awhile back and I'm going to be cutting these up into nb and sm diapers adding aplix and all then just making fleece covers.
I have lots of diaper making materials so I won't be purchasing anymore diapers, just sewing up some more.

I was thinking I would probably just buy 24-36 infant prefolds and 7 or 8 xs Thirsties to start with.
I just started CD'ing my 2 year old and so far only have 12 brown edge prefolds and 3 Thirsties for her, I plan on adding 12 more prefolds and 2 or 3 more Thirsties for her.
Like I said I JUST started, please let me know if this sounds like I will not have enough, I would like to be prepared.
Oh, and I plan to do a load of wash every other night.

Wow. Maybe I'm way off. We're expecting our first and I'm pretty new to cloth. I've been studying it a lot online, but i've never even seen a fuzzi bunz or a kissaluvs. I was thinking we'd start with kissaluvs and proraps and then move on to BG and FB with a few prefolds and thirsties (assuming we have some nice baby showers...we're not made of money here). DH will not oragami fold prefolds....are we nuts? We haven't even started our stash. What do we need?!
