Thanks Heather! I'm not sure I'd be a good one to run meetings, but I'd certainly be willing to help. We are going to be moving in a few months, so I won't be here for long. Also, my husband is in the midst of work-ups and soon to deploy and I'm "in charge" (that is SO not the word I'm looking for!) of the wives on his detachment. We are hopefully going to be moving to that area soon. We are in Michigan but my husbands best friend is out there and his boss wants DH really bad because of his YN skills when he was in the Coast Guard. So hubby will move out there and live with his friend for a couple months to save up money for the move and then we will join him. I have a 5yr girl, 3 1/2 yr boy, and 8 month old girl.

Java Mama is Coming to New Locations
Last Day at Current Location is October 4th

We have exciting news about the future of Java Mama.
After 2 ½ years of providing San Diego's premier child-friendly café experience, the current Java Mama Café in La Mesa Village will be closing its doors on October 4. But don't worry; more Java Mamas are on the way!

Since opening our doors in February 2007, aspiring entrepreneurs have inundated us with requests about how to open their own Java Mama Café. As these inquiries grew, we developed a program to license the Java Mama brand to those ready to pursue their own dream of owning a child-friendly café. It has now become clear that running both the café and supporting the Java Mama licensing program is simply not possible.

And this is where the exciting news comes in.

Becki Fox, who has been running the operations of Java Mama Café for the last several months, will be opening her own Java Mama Café in a new location in a new, convenient location. This new, licensed Java Mama will feature a bigger play area, more café space, plenty of free parking, and all the food, drinks and classes you've come to love. We hope to make an announcement on this new location in the coming weeks.

We also expect to announce the opening of another Java Mama location in the Poway/Scripps Ranch area soon. This licensed location will fulfill countless requests for a Java Mama Café in the North County area. Please check in with us often at www.javamama.com for information on these and other new locations coming your way.

We would like to thank everyone for all your encouragement and support over the years. While we will be assuming more of a supporting role for those opening their own Java Mamas, you'll still see us around these new cafés, enjoying a latte while our kids climb, read and just act silly. I've been to Java Mama several times, but I didn't know they were closed right now. I just checked the site, and they'd don't make it clear that the La Mesa location is closed when talking about new locations that will be opening. It's worded like they're simply expanding, and will expand even more to have several locations in the future. That's weird. I'm taking my 2m/o Michaela to "Outdoor Classroom", a 19 week class by SD continuing education. It's Tuesdays, 10a-noon, starting next Tuesday, Feb 2. First class meeting was today, and I need someone to hang with during the class. Kids from 0-12mos are welcome... anyone interested?

Also, we may take a baby sign language class starting soon!

I have not idea where you guys are I have never been to CA, I am from SC so this is a very new ting for me. We have three kiddo's 5, 3, 2 and hope to try for one ore next year sometime.....

I've got twin girls born sept 2009. Would love to get out to a baby-friendly place for a cup of coffee and good conversation. I also wouldn't mind going for a walk along the beach here in north county (taking one of the girls in a carrier). Let me know if I have any neighbors who are game!
