Hi everyone,
We are pregnant with what I hope will be our 4th baby in-arms. We had a miscarriage a couple years ago which would actually make this my 5th pregnancy within 4 years. I'm about 8 or 9 weeks now.
I'm curious, if there are other moms here who have had similar closely spaced pregnancies, did your labor times keep going down?
My first labor was 14 hours. My second was 8. My third baby (after the m/c) was probably about 8 hours of labor total, but only 3 that were actually painful and 'hard and fast.'
With the feeling of labor still so fresh in my head (8 months ago) I'm getting nervous about this labor. Then again with mylast pregnancy I was also worried, but come due date time I was more than ready to get this baby out.
I'm just curious if you noticed a labor shortening (but probably more fast and furious)?
We'll be praying for a third smooth homebirth. I'm still nursing my youngest, and because I got pregnant again so soon I hope to nurse her through the pregnancy this time an dpossibly use her for a little "augmentation" during labor if need be! I've nursed only 3-4 months max through other pregnancies because my babies self weaned. But they were over a year at that point. Not sure if it was because they were ready, or because my milk started drying up though!
