Interesting! We don't need a new one right now but I will have to make sure to read the reviews if I ever do need another one ;)

wow! that is really cool. I wonder how safe they are though...could the seat break away from the base in a car accident??

I was curious about that as well, I don't know if it's available or approved in Canada. We drive a big truck so this would be easier to get the baby in.

They look nice BUT for $300 I would want a Carseat that Rear-Faces PAST 22lbs and Forward Faces PAST 40lbs! Plus IRL the seat is very small and has a top slot of 13" I believe.

I think the idea is cool, and wanted one, but I have read not so great things. A lot of parents, I agree, are not happy that a seat that costs $300 only goes up to 40lbs, and 20lbs RFing. You can get a Britax for $70 or so less, and use it a lot longer.
Great concept, needs revamping.

Exactly! I mean, 22 pounds RF is equal to a SnugRide. And the SnugRide is a bucket. There's no way that most kids would make it to the 20lb AND 1 year limit (which is what it is where I live) for FF in that seat. Most 1 year olds that I know are bigger than 22 pounds.

It is a very cool concept, but yeah, I agree, I wanna use it longer!! I have a Combi infant seat that I LOVE!

Exactly!

Combi really needs to make it higher RFing, Higher FFing and Higer Top Slots for that price! THEN it would really sell!

The Combi infant seats are good!

Well if I win it that's cool but there's no way I'd buy that to just wind up using my $40 Scenara to continue rearfacing past 22 pounds.

Cool, too bad it only rear faces to 22 lbs.

Anyone else not able to register for the free one? I get an error.

I would be willing to take a look at one for free ;)

Interesting concept but needs some revamping like others said. I would worry it would swivel in an accident or something. Very handy idea though. Can't wait to see some newer versions/models from them in the future though.

little bit of an update:

I called Combi Canada in regards to the stroller that I am looking for and she happened to mention that Combi carseats are illegal in Canada. I forgot about this thread so I didn't ask why, but I'm assuming that they are just not approved up here.

Looks sort of interesting. I had a Combi infant seat and loved it so I'm sure this one is nice if you're willing to pay the high price.

Boo, I'm glad you women are here to keep me staight. Looked awesome, but I'm doing extended readfacing... DD is already 23 pounds at 18 months. DS is 16 lbs at 5.5 months.

I like the concept, but it doesn't seem safe to me.
I don't like that I can't do extended RF, and FF only goes to 40lbs.
I see that you can do the tether for FF, but can you RFing, and if it did it seems like it would strain the the seat and the base.
I'm afraid of the seat getting knocked off from the base in a car accident.
IDK, I think I'll just stick with my Britax.
Wowza, I just saw the price:eek:
