Why an induction? Did I miss something?

shelby, reason I'm being induced is because fluid around the baby is really low. and getting lower. but good news she's looking great on the monitor. I've got wifi. so I'm at the hospital now but checking in b/c I'm bored outo f my mind!

Madeline. Good luck to you! My SIL was induced for the same reason and she had a very smooth birth!! It was her easiest of 3!

Best wishes to you mama! She will have a beautiful name, no matter how you spell it

Most 36-weekers do just fine, mama. Some are a little sleepy and have some trouble staying awake to nurse, my ds sure did! Be sure to try to have the hospital's LC come to help you with the breastfeeding, if that's what you are choosing to do!

thanks girls... wanted to give you an update.... they put that citotec pill inside and it's really kickstarted my contractions. waiting for the doc to come and check me hopefully I'll get pitocin next so I can get this ball rolling. I'm remembering how much contractions hurt... but they aren't terrible just yet.

I had pitocin with my last delivery because my contractions stalled-worked like a charm, in fact my dd started coming out without any help (I was on an epidural and couldn't feel contractions-was actually reading a magazine :giggle2: ) A nurse checked me and started freaking out because my dd was sliding out on her own! Hope it works as well for you :goodvibes: sara
