I've heard there are pressure points on the foot that are connected to sex organs/help to induce labor. Anyone else heard of this? One way or another it sounds good to me!! I'm going to try and get a pedicure next week and see if it gets things going:goodvibes: By then I'll be 38 weeks+

I had heard it was the ankles, you could probably find it in a reflexology book.

There is a point about 3 fingers above the inside of your ankle, on the inside of your shin bone. "They" say if you rub it in a small circular motion for about 5 min. at a time then do the other it can start or increase contractions. Hasn't ever worked for me in 2 pregnancies though. :)

I think you have to do it til it actually hurts. My daughter tried it and it didn't help.

I think it is funny all the different thing that are out there to nducr labor..I actually ahd a doctor tell me when i was in the hospital with my ds that if I held my pee it would cause me to go into labor..he said that the bladder will push the uterus out of the way and the uterus will contract to get back where it is supposed to go and after it starts for at least 20 mins or so that they jsut let it go and..*poof*(his exact words) you have a baby...lol

Two days before my EDD, my husband surprised me with a gift cert to get a massage, facial, mani and pedi :wub
The ladies refused to massage my feet because they didn't want me to go into labor at the Red Door Spa. :laugh: Can't say I blame them.
