I am actually really nervous about meeting with the RE toady at 2:00 pm. I am actually so nervous that my stomach is doing flip flops.

I will be back later with an update on what he said.

Don't be nervous momma. Think of it as taking the first really big step in the right direction:thumbsup: The first visit is usualy just a thorough history and then they will give you a list of testing that they think would be appropriate given your particular history. And then you leave with at least so sort of game plan!!

Can't wait for an update.:hugs:

Appt went quite well. Doc has us set up to start Femara on d 5 of next cycle which is only 3 weeks away. Not that long of a wait. We will go in on cd 12 for follie ultrasound and see what we have the get a shot of Ovidrel and 36hrs later have IUI done with dh's sperm. I am exited and scared at the same time.

Turkey baster,,,,,,you crack me up!
Doc was actually quite happy that we really don't have anything wrong other than being unexplained infertility.

I hope that you get some good news in the next little bit.

i forgot to mention you and i am not sure if you are open to it or not, but acupuncture has great success with unexplained infertility. the guy i go to says that they have their best sucess rates with unexplained b/c it is usually just minor imbalances in homrones and such taht are not bad enough to be detected on blodwork and other testing but do still present a big enough prob to prevent conception. you have to find someone who is well versed in infertility though.

From personal experience I just wanted to add the acupuncture suggestion... DH and I are "unexplained" too. It took us 5 years 10 months to conceive our guys. We tried everything, including one cycle of IVF, without success. Someone suggested acupunture and although I didn't really "believe" in it, I figured we didn't have anything to lose. I did it with our second IVF cycle and that was the one that worked. The person I went to was well versed in IF and he was amazing - he made special weekend and early morning appointments that lined up with our cycle - and I really do think that it helped us to conceive. I would definitely recommend looking into it. Wishing you the best of luck and many ++++++++++ vibes. :hugs:

We are scheduled to have IUI this cycle. I start taking Femara on CD 5-9, and US on the 16th of this month to see what my ovaries have done. IUI 36 hrs later, I am exited, anxious and quite nervous.

Thanks for all your luck and prayers, maybe our 5 year struggle will finally be over in the next few weeks....

melissa, where are you at in your cycle??

I am on Day 2 of Femara, which would make me on CD 6. I have an u/s next week for follies and to see when I have to have the trigger and schedule IUI. I am starting to get exited!:giggle:
