I've always been with an OB and my first midwife appointment will be tomorrow!!! :giggle: I'm so excited!! I hope that they go easy on all the blood work.... yuck I hate that part.

thats exciting! You will have to tell me how it goes i have my ob appt thursday but then a midwife appt next week.

Good luck! I wish I could use a mid wife. I have Kaiser insurance and I am not even sure they know the word mid wife:)

ugh, I had kaiser for my last pregnancy.... :yuck: I loved my OB, but hated everything else about it. My OB gave me a kiss on the cheek after she delivered my little man and said "good job!!!!" :giggle: I hope I get a midwife like that!

:popcorn: I'm a Kaiser baby (lol). we're lucky we survived (we're the only triplet's born at the Hayward CA Kaiser..).
Anywho...how are you figuring our insurance for your midwife? There's a midwifery that just opened up here in town that I'd love to go to when the time comes for it.

Anywho...how are you figuring our insurance for your midwife? There's a midwifery that just opened up here in town that I'd love to go to when the time comes for it.
I just started asking around for midwives in the area and this is actually a group of four midwives who work together with a larger medical group. They originally just filed under the larger medical group to allow people to get covered by they're insurance. Now I do believe they are able to file individually, you just have to start asking lots of questions.
