I am pregnant with........

TWINS :lostit: :lostit: :lostit:

Had my first ultrasound today and they found two sacs! I am so happy :giggle:

As soon as I can, I hope to post my first pics of the beans. I am 1 week behind what I thought I was. My babies are a little over 6 weeks.

My family and friends are praying that my babies make it past 12 weeks.

ETA: Found 2 heart beats too :)

Well they say with the more kids you have the more of a chance you will have twins:) I would die if I was, I think I would pass out on the floor after handing my baby to the Dr.

That is great news! Is your ob experienced w/ multiples? If not, ask about seeing a perinatologist who works w/ multiple pregnancies. There are a few things that are a little different. PM me if you ever want to discuss more. And again, awesome news!!!!!!

Actually, she is! In fact, she said yesterday that I am the fourth mama in her practice right now pregnant with twins. I have a good feeling about my ob. She is so caring.

Wow!:lostit:

I would check with your ob on how she treats twin pregnancies. I have no doubt she's caring and a good OB, but twins throw a whole different perspective on it. For example, lots insist on more ultrasounds than a singleton, even if everything is going as planned. Nothing against those who do, but for me personally, I would not be comfortable with that. Some also like to induce past a certain number of weeks even if both babes and moms are doing find. You'll also want to find out her c/s rate with twins if you are hoping for a vaginal birth. It never hurts just to make sure you and your OB are on the same page.

I had a good long talk with my ob yesterday. She is all for me going into natural labor. She did say that she hopes that the first baby is head down so I can pursue my vbac. She knows how much I want a vbac and knows the story of the birth of my ds and how much it upset me.
I have another appt in 4 weeks, but not an u/s. She is scheduling an u/s at 16 weeks.
I asked about her c/s rate in general. She said 12-15% but she said some of that is repeat b/c the women don't know that they can go for a vbac or don't want to. She says that she has 4-5 vbac per month. She also mentioned that the hospital I want to deliver at is more naturally minded than the other hospitals in town.

Oh, I have thought about the fluffy nb stash!! I started cding with my ds at 6 mos so we have the mediums and larges now. I went the whole prefold and cover route with mediums.

When I found out I was preggers, I started checking out HC to find some cute diapers. Now that I will have 2 nb tushies to cover, I am not sure what to do. I will probably do the whole prefolds and covers since it is more economical. I might however, buy a few cute fitteds or AIO with embroidery for pics and coming home outfits. I have the $300 from the whole stimulus thing that we got for our ds that I will put towards diapers. I think it would cover a few dz prefolds and a covers and a few cute dipes especially if I buy used.

:woot: Thats awesome! CONGRATS!!!!! :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

My twins were both born au natural at almost 38 weeks...vaginally:thumbsup: both were presenting head first and my twin A was born head first and my twin B was born breech. It was all good with no complications and like you, my ob had numerous sets of twins all delivering consecutive to mine. I am uber excited for you:hugs:

I also did the pf and cover routine with mine and that was excellent for them when they were tiny. I reccomend it for sure:thumbsup: :goodvibes:

She said that if the first one is head down and can be delivered and the 2nd one is breech, she is ok with that. B/c I have had a c/s and no vag birth, she is not allowed to deliver breech babies. So, I am praying that the first one will go head down so I can get my vbac!!

Congrats on the twins! Lots of time for them to turn. Check out www.spinningbabies.com and more specifically http://spinningbabies.blogspot.com/search?q=twins Other mamas, you might want to check this site out as well. The position your babies are in has a huge impact on childbirth and there are things you can do to turn them the right way!

It's funny you posted this because while I was talking with my ob about making sure I keep up with my chiropractor so if need be, she can do the Webster technique and spinningbabies.com came to mind! I am not going to worry about it now. Come November and December we will see.
