I've never cloth diapered a newborn so I want to err on the side of safety (or getting carried away shopping :giggle:)

And I went a lil nuts shopping this last week and waiting on in total from many great DS ladies

Lol I think that's it. But now I'm going nuts cause I want to use it lol if DD was home (she's in NC with my mom for a week)we could play dress up....but I'm not doing it with out her lol

I'm done shopping finally.
I have:
18 XS AIO's (MagicAlls and Thirsties Pocket AIOs)
26 NB Fitteds (Heiny Huggers, Thirsties Fab Fitteds, Nanipoos & Hillbilly Bunny)
4 XS Covers (Thirsties)
...and a few misc newborn pull-on covers and a wrap from HC
We have a dozen small DryBees pockets and a dozen small FB's for once we outgrow the newborn stage (we'll be using pockets exclusively after that).
Ill take pics once my packages come in... I think and hope to be able to once we are on our way out of smalls I will be able to buy "one kind"of diaper be it just fitteds or what ever from then on lol but well see.

wow. i think i am totally understashed! Why does everyone have soooo many diapers for a nb? how many do I really need?:headscratch: I have the top drawer of dd dresser full of nb/sm fitted/aios/covers and I have some small pfs. Am I going to be in trouble when dd arrives? :~ I posted my stash one day with the hopes that some mamas would advise me if I had enough or not, but not many mamas replied.

I have 36 newborn size pf's, 2 snappies, 3 premie covers, 3 newborn covers and 12 BG 3.0. This is my first baby and I have never cd'ed before. I also ordered a diaper making kit from wazoodle. I love to sew and hope to be able to make some embellished fitted diapers out of my pf's. If that works out I am going to tackle making some AIO's.
I am currently on my last prewash of the pf's. I just love the way they look out on the clothes line:)

Newborns poop...a lot! Like, almost every diaper change is almost always poop. :mrgreen:

Well I stocked up because my DS #1 didn't fit into small FB's without leaks until he was almost 6 months old and we're going to be using pockets (FB's and DryBees) exclusively once we get into smalls until PL'ing. It's just easier for me to have one kind of diaper - I went CRAZY with wool and etc with Noah and I bought waaaay too much stuff. :blush: And I know he pooped every time he nursed which was around every 2 hours and I don't want to be doing laundry every day. I'm shooting for every third day. I've never done this with a newborn though so we shall see. I just want to get through the first few months with these - I know it's not like I'm going to use them only for a few weeks. We seem to make skinny babes.

Just washed all of my dipes today getting ready.

I think I'm set. I love wool, but want to see if I should get girly or boyish, and need to know how big this kid will be first! I'm feeling good about the utility of my dipes. I'll work on the cuteness factor after the LO gets here.

I think diaper wise that sounds doable. That is 36 diapers right? I would say you might want a few more covers though.

I have a ton of material to make some tiny nb fitteds, but we'll see if I actually ever get to that project before the baby actually arrives! lol. I think we'll be fine w/out them, but I would love to have a few because they're so stinking cute!
So as we stand right now, including what's on the way, we have 46 diapers, 5 interlock soakers, 1 knitted soaker, 5 shorties, 2 longies, 9 PUL covers. I think we've hit overkill in the cover department!

Reason I am stocking up so much is really a cpl reasons
1. DS was big - 8lbs6oz@35 weeks and dd was 7lbs14oz@37 weeks and want to cover nb and small sized smalls
2. Never cd a NB not sure what to expect
3. Its all so freaking cute lol

Ok I just looked over my stash, and realized that most of it is smalls, I've only got this for newborn:

Most of the fitteds I have are nb or the wahm's are the nb side of small...so I'm wanting to get more actual smalls .. Gage has med PW's set and I love them but after I got a sm from "mhaddon" I HAVE to get more. Lol cause haven't used them on a butt that's lil but can't see how I wouldn't love them as much or more lol
