What kind of diapers are you buying for you lo?
Are you going the cheap route since newborns have to be changed a lot?
How many diapers?
What will you use overnight?
Forgive me for the questions, I have never CDed a newborn, I started CDing when DD was 9 months old and DS was 2. I have also never used PF's...I have only used pockets and AIO's....this time I really want to use PFs at least until he's in a medium so I can get some cute diapers then.

I just started cloth diapering to, when my youngest turned about 4 months, I LOVE it! I just need more, that is why I LOVE this site! Anyways, with the newborn I have small FB from my DD and I am also going to buy some newborn fitted diapers, and some covers, it seems like the best route to go with changing alot, I think............

I have about 19 or 20 infant prefolds from when DD was born. I used to have two dozen, but alas, no more, lol. I just ordered another dozen.
I'll be looking for some newborn covers for the new one. I have some proraps but hated them and ended up using disposables because of it (they send you home with a ton and then I bought a few :o) Anyways - I have some small WWB, but they're all girly prints. So, for now, I'm just going to buy some GN newborn covers. I'll look at buying some boy prints if this LO turns out to be a boy (it's a surprise) in size smalls.
I do have a few fitteds, a few FB and a few AIOs that are smalls as well. Then I have an entire stash of Med FBs (DD ended up with an allergy, so now we're back into cpfs and WWB covers for her.

I have never cd'd a newborn either, but i did remember that DS went through a ton of disposables so this time I thought that I should have tons of diapers since I don't want to run out. So here is what i have.
I made 35 newborn fitteds (17 from a queen sized flannel sheet $3 from the thrift store, thats the only way I would have that many). Then I have 2 doz flats, but I don't know if I like flats so they may just be burp rags. I have tons of gerber covers (they were super cheap) and while not my fav they are functional and I'm making some VB covers. Now I have to start on the smalls.
Oh and I do have some PUL cut out to make a few AIO's. I guess I had better start sewing again. I just got my serger back from being fixed so I need to get motivated.

I have about 40 preemie prefolds (I have preemies), 1 BSWW, 3 sets of pins...and that's IT. I want some Bummis Super Brite covers, Bummis Super Whisper Wraps, and Blueberry covers.
I really want some FB's, BB's, HH's and SB's though for outings. I *need* cute fluff! I promised DH that I would not buy the expensive stuff till he is in a medium and can wear them a long time.

sorry to hijack here, AnnaG01 i was looking at your signature is your Riley a boy or a girl? We're thinking of using that for our baby if we have a girl and I'm deciding on a spelling. Right now I'm prefering Ryleigh for a girl, but wondering if spelling might be an issue in the future.
Ok back to our regular scheduled CD q's

I've never cd'd before, but after researching for months and months I've come up with these that I will try first: BumGenius Pockets, Prowraps, and Thirsties Cover w/prefolds.
Have to start somewhere, right?!

I have 2 dozen preemie prefolds
1.5 dozen infant prefolds on the way eventually
2 preemie Imse Vimse covers
1 xs Thirsties cover
2 nb longies knit by me
(More to be knit and more yarn on the way :giggle: )
9 nanipoo fitteds - mostly for overnight w/wool
And BGOS for him and DD as our going out diapers.
I'll be selling all my covers and fitteds when he grows out of them and the, so it really is a cheaper route. The prefolds store well, so they'll be waiting for another baby down the road. =)
DD will most like still be in diapers. I wash every other day as it is. I don't think I need more than 2 dozen

I am going to try to use prefolds until baby can fit into medium fuzzi bunz, just to save money.

I am reusing DS's Fuzzi Bunz in medium and large so we are already saving a ton of money there by using them for two kids.
I splurged this time and got pocket diapers in small. I don't want to do the fitted and covers thing again. A little bit of convenience will be nice since I will have 2 in diapers...
Plus I really love the fleece pockets from Snap-EZ. They will be so cute on him/her when the baby ist still tiny!

HI ANNA : )
I've got a ton of pf's, preemie, infant, orange edge, yellow edge, and while i would like to think i'd use pf's full-time I'm not so sure I will. I remember dd having some massive blowouts and no matter how high i built the jelly-roll wall, it always managed to blast out somehow. So incase pf's fail, I also bought a bunch of fitteds...although I keep telling dh they're for him.
Its actually the wool that worries me the most...i've bought all sorts of covers including longies, wraps, side snaps, and pull-ons. Will the pull-ons be too much of a pita? Will I want to put longies on a nb? etc etc. So the only way i'll know is to buy and try!!!
