This happened with 2 in a row, so I'm a little worried they're all going to be like that?:headscratch:
I read the instructions on the internet and defeintely followed them the second time (couldn't wait to read them the first time:laugh: )
Anyway, for those of you who have used this type of test, can you pretend that I am very ignorant and give me a step by step? I feel like I am missing something--do the lines show up under that plasticky part?
Or just give me some reassurance that this happens often? I'm fine if it happens on a few, since they are so inexpensive, but if it happens on 8 in a row, then I should have just gone to the drugstore and gotten a test, kwim?

Are you using the strips? And NO lines are appearing? Maybe you didn't let it absorb enough urine? After you dip it, the dye will start to move across the test from under the plastic part and move across the white area. That's where the control line and test line (if you are preggo) will show.
ETA: Usually, when the dye first goes across the test area, it will be very streaky but the dye will fade after a bit except for where the lines are.

you s hould see some dye start traveling across the part under the plastic film..
report it to peeonastick.com if you keep getting invalid results.

They show up inbetween the plasticy bits :headscratch:
You dip them in urine up to the "max" line and when the dye starts to go across the test area, lay it flat and wait

Thanks for your help, everyone. To be a little more clear:
Yes, I'm using the strips and no lines are appearing.
I dipped the first strip in for about 5-10 seconds, but only did 3 seconds with the 2nd strip as the instructions say to only do it for that long. Seems short to me, but they said too long will make the test invalid. :headscratch: How long do you dip it?
Both times I saw the area underneath the plasticky part turn purplish, but nothing was visible through the plasticky part (from above if that makes sense.) I was thinking that is where the control line and positive line show up, but from your posts, it sounds like they are supposed to appear closer to the blue area? Past the plasticky part and onto the other white material? I had nothing at all happening there.
Also, I did make sure not to dip past the max line.
As a sidenote, AF came today so I would have "wasted" those tests anyway, but I would like your answers so I am prepared for next month....

Hmmm... I never had any invalids with my tests from there. But then again, I've been known to dip 2 or 3 tests at the same time, just to be sure. ;) I've always left the strip in the urine for 20 seconds or so. Maybe you're not leaving it in long enough?
Sorry AF arrived. Hopefully these tips will help you next month!
