I have been off my anxiety meds for about 3 weeks, I was on them for anxiety, not depression, so why do I feel like I have it now plus the anxuety. I can NOT get excited about this baby. I just want to cry about it. and it is more than just hormones, I don't even want to take care of my other kids, I am but not very enthusiastically. I know I need to get on the different meds the Dr prescribed but I am scared to because of side effects of getting on then maybe it won't work so i will have to withdrawal and start something new, i know this is the anxiety talking but it is rational in my mind,. I just needed to put it out there, I think this baby is a blessing and when I found out I was thrilled, now I just am not happy.

deff. call your doc or midwife and tell them exactly what you just told us. You need to make yourself happy and taken care of. Or else nobody is happy. Mommies come first. Hugs, as soon as you try something I am sure it will ease you. MY hubby is the same way. I don't even want to be around him when he tries to get off for his breaks away from it. His mind stirs all night. Hope you get some help through your doc mama. take some you time. ask someone for it, it is essential. go out with some girls, or grab cofee and get your nails done. Something. It doesn't have to be expensive. just relaxing. good luck~ Windy

Thanks guys, I am not feeling better but getting used to it, i called the Dr and they said that I should take the WEllbutrin although it is not a great one for nursing as it lowers your supply, so they pretty much told me to choose, and that since LO is almost 18months it is OK to stop. They say Zoloft is not recommended in 1st trimester(although I know ALOT of moms take this) I think half the time they just look at their little palm pilot to see the class and son't know any of the new research.

I take zoloft and have never heard of it not being recommended in the first trimester - my midwife said it's the safest. Don't feel bad if you need to take something :hugs: I need to and sometimes that's just the case.

My friend took zoloft for both pregnancies and her doctor was ok with it.

That is what I thought too! I hate that not all Drs are informed on the latest research.
