Baby #1-- 8 days late (induced at 7 days late, c-sectioned next morning)
Baby #2-- 6 days late (natural)
Baby #3-- 3 days late (castor oil made water break, regret and do not want to discuss)
Baby #4-- Does this mean I will go late?
Anyone else always late and then go early (with no medical reason)? Please give me hope!:giggle:

Seems like you most likely will go late. I've only had one - 4 days after my due date my water broke naturally, had her the next morning (5 days past due date). I'd hedge bets that #2 will be late to. To be fair, a due date is really just an estimate, and a full term labor is 38 to 42 weeks, so to be "late" you really have to be beyond 42 weeks.

Sorry to say that yeah most likely you will, but as PP said it's just an estimate. Dr's just like to act like it's law so they can talk you into an induction that you don't really need so it doesn't interfere with their personal lives when you do go into labor. I'm on #4 and was 3 weeks after EDD with #1 and 1 week after with the other 2, this one wll most likely do the same. Out of the 9 my mom had only 1 was 4 days before so the odds aren't good but there is ALWAYS a chance! It should be within a few days eitheir side though so I wouldn't worry too much. I's better to just wait anyway. When your body says it's done then all will go well and baby will be fine.

I was induced on due date with dd#1- not anywhere near ready to go yet, but midwife said I had to due to pre-eclampsia. dd#2 was 10 days late, and dd#3 was 7 days late. So from my anecdotal experience, it seems like women take different amounts of time to grow a full term baby. (Women in my family take at least an extra week) Also, I guess you have to take into account that many times due date is based on last period, but you may have ovulated later, and would have had a longer cycle if you hadn't gotten pregnant...

My mom went late with the first 3, then 3 weeks early with her 4th. The first three of us were all around 8.5-10 lbs . The 4th was 7.5 lbs... go figure..

Ooh! I like this one!:giggle:
Thanks for the votes and replies. I know... I know... just relax and wait. And after my last one I said if I ever had another, I wouldn't rush it to be over and I would enjoy the end. But with 3 little ones at home, every day is SUCH a struggle. I wish my dh could just take vacation from now until baby was a couple weeks old. I tire of feeling guilty toward my children also- for sitting so much and not jumping on trampoline with ds, or taking them for walks, or to the beach on such hot days etc. Instead I'm always saying, no mommy hurts right now, I'm sorry I can't... soon though. Or, c'mon guys pick that up, please, you know it hurts me to bend over. etc. KWIM?

dd #1 was 41 wks and 3 days

It looks like you "go late" but you just never know. I certainly have no clue with my babe on the way :lostit:
