Okay well after lots of debate I think that I've got my mind made up. I am planning on a VBAC in a birth center! I am also going to be working with a birth doula and taking hypno birthing classes! I think that with a doula and the hypno birthing classes I should have a really good chance at getting my VBAC at the birth center. Probably a better chance than at the hospital. I'm excited about the whole process! Just wanted to share!

thank you for your inspiration! dd may be facing a c-section due to breech presentation (thanks, mamas, she's spent the past couple days upside down), and she's been worried about future pregnancies. i'll tell her about your plans.

I'm currently being seen by a group of midwives who say that I can VBAC. They do deliveries at a hospital though so I am going to transfer my care to a birth center in hopes of having a greater chance of actually getting my VBAC. Insurance doesn't cover the birth center, but I think it will be worth it!

Your daughter should look into achiropractor that is trained in the webster technique ,it could help turn the baby so she wouldn't need a c-section.
Here's alink so she can find one in her area if she wants to try it.

Heck I've heard that chiropractors are just great during pregnancy anyway.

Thanks Mama! I love to hear about other successful VBAC Mamas! I'm so excited about having a doula too....I really think that if I do end up in a hospital for some reason she'll be a great addition to my support system.

I did a vbac in Jan at a hospital with a doula (at the age of 41 no less!) It was such a different experience than the c/section. It makes me sad for my dd that we missed so much in our first days bcz my c/s was so yucky.
Congrats and go for it!!!!! -DS was 9lb 8 and arrived after 26 hours of labor. It was wonderful.
