How many diapers do you have just for daycare and which kind of dipes are they? I have about 25-30 FB/chunky monkey that are specifically for daycare and I can go about 3-4 days without having to do daycare diaper laundry. I use prefolds and covers exclusively while at home.
ain't it great that we have our own forum?:giggle:

I just saw this forum!
When DS was in daycare we used sposies and CDs at home.
Our nanny used any of our pockets (BG mostly, a few FB, HH and BB). I have a pretty small stash. I only have enough pockets for two days Probably 12 or so. I saved the pockets for her and used PFs when I was home. It worked out great. I always stuffed the pockets so that they were ready to go.

Our youngest only goes to child care for about 3 hours a week. We just send his fuzzi bunz since they are the easiest to use.

I just keep on buying more and more pockets because last thing I want to do after pulling a 9 hour shift is come home and start washing dipes. I'll usually forget that they're in the washer(fall asleep) and not put them in either the dryer or the clothesline and then have to rewash them. It's just easier to leave the diaper washing to only a couple of times a week. I just scored 5 this week that need a little love and as soon as they're fixed, I have another day checked off my calendar. lol.

Well, before dd pl'd, we had a daycare stash of about 12 happy heiny's and 2 wetbags. We sent 5/day for the 8 hours/day she was there and usually had one clean one left over. When we decided to ttc, we shifted the daycare stash to be 24 OS haute pockets. IDK how many we'll go through with an infant in the fall...prob. 8 - 10/day?
Our sitter didn't do cloth at first, either - one day I just decided to show her a pocket and proposed a trial period, and it worked, esp. when she saw she could just wrap it up, poo and all, and put it in the wetbag. Plus, I kinda bribed her continually with small gifts from bath and body works in her fave scent - I said it was for the extra effort.

When my family watches him..they use sposies, but they buy them because I won't. I wish they'd use cloth on him...but I can't convince them. ugh.

DD is in daycare from 8am-3:30 pm, three days per week right now and we have 12 daycare diapers (BG O/S pockets) and 3 wetbags. I do laundry every other day on the days that she's in daycare. :)

DS has been in two daycares. The first one (6-10 months) he got changed every hour whether he was wet or not, so I had a stash of prefolds and BSWW, 10 covers and 32 prefolds. Then my work got a daycare and since there are only 2 working mamas out of 1000 employees and 2 daycare workers he gets very attentive care. They don't like pockets though (weirdos!) and like Japanese style flats and covers. I have 8 covers, since he only poos once a day now, and 42 flats with fleece liners. I also have a pocket stash for daddy and a wool/fitted stash for me. :)
I also work 40 -44 hours a week.

I slowly introduced our babysitter to the cloth, by sending just a couple a day and asking her to try them out. After week her response was "these are great, not at all what I was expecting!" How cool is that?
We use Mudpies, FBs, Little Caboose and Mutt AIOS at the babysitters (and home too)!! We rarely use fitteds....in total we have over 40 diapers that we rotate between home and the babysitter.

I send prestuffed pockets for James...I have (I think) 5 HH's, 5 BWB's, 2 My Precious Baby's, and 4 that I made. The HH's and MPB's fit him better...I can still get the others on him without a problem but at school they can never seem to get them fastened right so I try to put those on him in the morning or put them in the bottom of the bag where hopefully they won't get used. I usually send 5 or 6 diapers a day just to be sure but they usually only use 4. They also have a handful of sposies there just in case he runs out of cloth or I forget his diaper bag or whatever. If I don't get the laundry done, I sometimes send in a cover with a lay-in soaker so it's still super easy for them. A couple of times I've sent PF's when he had a bad rash but even after my Snappi tutorial, they still can't seem to get it right. It's kind of amusing actually...

We have around 50 for 2 kids in school full-time (M-F, 7-5). They're all random, but I'm waiting on my custom Bottom Bumpers order of 50 and we'll convert to those. Having all one brand makes it easier on the caretakers and having AI2s instead of pockets makes it easier on laundry days!

We are getting 13 Thirsties AIO for daycare (we had one to try before committing) when we start in August. We also have 7 BG 3.0s for daycare backup/night time diapers and 2 plastic boxes with locking lids/handles. This way I won't have to do laundry daily when we get home. At home we primarily use pfs and covers.
DCP is willing to work with us on the diapers, but since she'll be the only one in the entire system using CDs we're sticking to the absolutely simplest possible option, no snaps to change sizes, no snaps to figure out, etc. I'm sure they'd have no problem with anything else, but I want to minimize the work on them to keep them happy. After all they're taking care of my child, wouldn't want to piss them off :-P

I have 18 BG o/s pockets, the daycare choose to use them out of the choices I gave them. I also have 3 wetbags. They use 4-6 a day depending on how many times ds decides to poop so I wash them every Wednesday
The daycare ladies are in love with Maddox's diapers and actively try to get other parents to switch :giggle:

My daughter is in daycare roughly 37 hours a week (M-F) and I work about 41-44 hours a week (sometimes more), but am away from her for about 50 hours a week (like commuting, preparing for work, etc.). My partner takes care of her for a couple of hours in the morning.
Anyyyyyyyyway... we send pockets and stuffable AIOs (Thirsties)... nothing daycare specific, but I try to send all aplix/velcro for ease-of-use. And I have 2 wet bags that I alternate.

I send BG 3.0, FB's, RaR's. I send 7 a day and he is usually there for 8 1/2 or 9 hours, 2 days a week.

I will be giving my friend 6 diapers a day at least while I am in school and I am going to give her aio's with a couple extra inserts just in case.

I have 10 BG OS (5 2.0, 5 3.0) and 5 MT OS aplix - this is our DH/daycare stash. Seems to be sufficient. I usually send 5 a day - I do keep a few sposies there too just in case they run out, which has only happened once.
I do have 5 other misc pockets, but they are still on the big side and only get used at home.
At home I use prefold/flats and covers.

We have FB and BG3.0 for my dh to use. But with it becoming so humid down here, the PUL is causing some major heat issues. Now dh's making the transition to fitteds:)

This is exactly the same for us, DS is 3 days a week and we have 10 Thirsties AIOs and I usually break into my Preston's Pants stash a few dipes per week too LOL.

At the moment we are doing strictly pockets, so I sent 10 diapers a day (I'm paranoid our daycare provider will run out), mostly BG (2.0 or 3.0) and maybe a GAD or two.

Can I just say I *WISH* one of the 13 children in my room was cloth diapered. Touching all those sposies everyday is gross.

DS has about 20 HH stuffed with HH hemp inserts. I send 4 per day. He is at the sitters from 8-5, 8-4 and 8-1. I work 20 hours a week. I use elbees and sweetiebums exclusively with wool at home :) It is no big deal to the sitter as she is amish and they use cloth on their babies :)

I bought 17 BG for my mom when she was using them. She used them (FB for first 4 months) exclusively til DD was 10 months. But she didn't like dealing with the poop and now uses her own sposies. I refuse to buy them, and still send a couple BG each week, but they come back unused in the bag on Fridays.

We have 18 pockets -10 Blueberry/8 GAD- 5 days per week. I send 6 per day because I like having one or two extra there. He uses 3-4 per day there.
I use fitteds and prefolds when at home.

As a provider, I prefer either good prefolds, or good fitteds. How many I need for a baby depends on the child. I have one that is almost 12 months, and she uses no more than four a day unless there is something unusual going on. But, when she was younger, she went through at least 12 a day.
I send her home in a disposable.
However, I have never tried an AIO, or a pocket. I'm not super wild about the diaper covers, they add bulk, and she's pretty bulky all by herself.

LMAO!!!! Cuz when I have a bad day, the first kid I tend to turn on is the one in complicated snap diapers.:roflmbo:
I will admit. I like velcro more than snaps. Especially with a wiggler.
