We are moving on to IUI this month, and I was wondering if I had any IUI buddies?

katina, I know melissa MelMonkey is in the middle of a cycle, just finished the meds (femera) and has her follie u/s on Monday. Anyway, if af shows this month instead of a BFP we are doing clomid and IUI next cycle - af should be here any day.

I'm pretty nervous about all of it. Hope it goes well for you - good luck!

I'm wishing and praying all you ladies get your bfps soon!:babydust: :babydust: :babydust: :babydust: I care soo much for all you mamas.
I've never done Femara or IUI(wished our insurance covered an RE or Clomid even.:banghead:)I have PCOS and hypothyroidism and was dxed in 2004.
Luckily my type 2 diabetes rxs Actos and Metformin have worked for me.
I dont know why were at month 12 ttc now and no bfp YET when it worked before?!
I'd soo be joining you all doing this if I could.Hugs and I'll be following everyone!

Well, I am back with not so good news. I only have one follicle on the left side and one little one on the right, with poor uterine lining......This Sucks!
Now, I am waiting on the nurse to call and see what she wants to do.

Melissa, I'm so sorry... I'm sure you are totally bummin' right now - maybe that one will be "the One." I hope you get good news from the nurse. :hugs:

I guess you could say that I am bummin', if that is the word that is used. I am trying to keep the faith and wait on the nurse to call with the next step that we are gonna take, whether it be wait and do another u/s or just scrap this cycle and move on to injectibles.

major :hugs:, praying for success with injectables, what now - do they put you on provera to move things along or do you have to wait it out... sorry for so many questions, if you don't want to talk about it - that's fine, I just want you to know you have a friend out there.

You are too sweet, I will be alright, there is nothing wrong with letting it all out and feeling better.
They are not putting me on anything, just doing it the old fashioned way......:giggle: Then we have an appt for July 2nd and start injects on cd 3

We are moving onto plan B in two weeks, July 2nd is the follow up appt with the RE. I am exited and hope that I have a great response to the injects. Kinda scared of the shots, but they shouldn't be that bad.

Kristin, how are you doing? Been thinking about you and your dh quite a bit.

we are doing better. dg is getting anxious to get started with another cycle. I am enjoying being able to work out in the yard and around the house, things that are tough to do if preg or on an ivf cycle. and i have a big exam in july and thena gain in sept, so i really need to focus on that. so long story short, i don't plan to be cycling again until sept at the earliest.

don't worry too much about the shots...they aren't that bad. I was doing at least 3 each day and it is totally doable. just make sure whoever is pushing the meds does it slowly, that really makes a diff on the pain/burn factor. And as always keep your eye on the prize:thumbsup: All of the pain will be worth it once you are pregnant:hugs:

I am glad to hear that you are doing better, and that you are gearing up for another cycle. Good luck on your exams that are upcoming!

Thanks for the tip on the injects, I would suppose that dh will do them, I am not sure that I can do them on my own.

I hope that the injects work for us and that IUI is as far as we have to go, that we may have enough follicles and that another cycle doesn't get thrown in the trash! They will be prescribing Repronex (sp??), one shot a day. I hope that is all that we need and that I get me secret wish for twins with it......

We completed 3 cycles on injectables without IUI (DTD instead) before conceiving our son. Right now we are still nursing and so medically-assisted TTC is on hold, but I hope that we'll jump straight to injectables and skip the pills. Compared to the side-effects of clomid and femara, etc, I'll take the shots any day. While it's a pain in the butt (literally) to do injectables, its nothing compared to clomid's hot flashes and the psycho mood swings. Plus, the constant monitoring with ultrasounds keeps you updated and encouraged about your follicles. You don't have to wait until the next cycle to up your dose if you need to, dosage changes happen day-to-day. And because of the trigger shot, you know very precisely when you ovulated. It makes testing so much more accurate. And injectables won't thin your uterine lining the way that clomid can.
Good luck this cycle!

Thanks for the tip! I am starting to get used to the idea that we are going to injectable and IUI. I pray that we only need to do it once or twice to achieve success!

I am in the IUI club here too. I concieved the first round in order to have my dd....I think i was quite lucky, but i also charted for 6 months prior and took a variety of herbs and such. I have been ebf'ing my lo but af returned this cycle as my lo is 16m and i figured since we have been waiting for af to return i immediately went into charting so we can hopefully have another iui. If we were able to have one successful attempt i would consider myself extremely priveledged. My husband can not conceive as he had a vas during his first marriage and we opted to use a donor as we can't afford a reversal. we'll be using the same donor.

I am waiting on my NP to call me and get a plan going so i can get in for my first U/S. I o'd this month on my first cycle, but aboutr 10 days later than i used to.

the only problem is my dh lost his job in december and STILL looking....i have our children (two adopted and one bio) covered, but i am not...though i am in the process of getting coverage....and IUI's are not covered. This means i will end up needing about $700 per attempt if he doesn't get a job and covered soon. I am having a hard time wanting to wait until he gets a job to do this, but might have to becasue it would be silly to pay that much when i could possibly have it covered the next cycle....so we'll see....still waiting to hear from my NP to tell her our plans and get a plan going.

I just wanted to say good luck to all of you!!!! My DS is the result of my first IUI cycle w/ Injectables. I only had 1 follicle that was mature. He's turning 2 next week.

If anyone ever has questions, please LMK. We did 2 failed cycles last year and are now adopting.

we adopted our wonderful 8 year old boys when they were two...they are two months apart and "like" twins. They share the same ethnic background (native american). I feel great about adopting right here for children that would have otherwise had not so great a life. It was a rough process but glad we stuck it out.

Just got done with our first IUI / Repronex. Had two beautiful follicles that were 21 and 20, with a little 16 on the opposite side.
I am hoping that this will be the only time that we have to do this and to go to Canada and tell my parents the great news!
