I am 36 weeks today, and for quite a while now I have been having increasing soreness... down there. It has been getting progressively worse and worse. Doc says it's normal, but it's SO irritating. It really only happens when I sleep at night or take a nap. I have such a hard time switching positions in my sleep because it hurts so bad down there. It even hurts when I have to wake up to pee and squat down on the toilet. And I can barely walk for the first 15 minutes after I get out of bed in the morning. Please tell me I'm not the only one experiencing this! Why does the soreness seem to come on only when I sleep???

Oh I so feel sore down there. Earlier today I was holding onto things to walk and dh got up and helped me (I must've looked so pathetic trying to get to the bathroom) Oh and this lo has not even dropped yet. I cant imagine how I will move when he does. Ive never had this soreness before and my OBs comment to that was I must be very lucky to have never had it before and that it is totally normal.

YESSSSSS! Oh. My. Hail. It's awful I want to cry some times. I really only have the pelvic pain when I am laying down too. I find big huge pillows between my legs help. But, like you changing positions is a PITA and HUUUUUUURTS like a MoFo. I dread getting up to pee too. It really feels like I am crushing my kids head. Yeah. I am ready to be done. haha
Oh, a yoga ball helps me sometimes too! You can really open up your pelvis on it and stretch out. I've been sitting on it 24/7. Doesn't always help, but it does relieve the pressure/pain.

I have this too. It has decreased a little, but I am 35 wks and have have had it for at least 2 months when i lay down at night - or any time of day, really. something about the pressure coming off, the blood flowing that I could really feel the pain. It is groin pain, I believe and the only thing i found when It was bothering me the most, was ice packs at night - in between my legs. Use a bag of frozen veggies if u need to. It was the only way I could get to sleep. Dr. recommended heat, but that did not sound enticing.

What kind of soarness are we talking about? I have gone to the chiro and am flexible so my hips and all that are fine. But when I go to stand up I can feel her down on my cervix and pushing on the inside and it hurts. It always take a few moments to get her in a walking position.

yeh it's a pain to just roll over at night. I seem to have that problem just at night or lying down too. Had it for a few months.

Oh gosh, it is so nice to hear that I am not the only one experiencing this pain! I can barely walk!! Surprisingly, the place I feel best, is laying down in bed with my body pillow, but all day, when I am upright, YOUCH!!! It hurts in the front of my pelvis, around the bones and feels swollen. I just turned 36 weeks also, I am SO ready for this to be over!! I feel your pain girl, literally!! Not to mention, the feeling like my belly is just too big for my body.
