Well i recently moved back to my home towna nd went to go make an appt with my OB tha delivered my first 3 yrs ago. and they asked if i had anymore kids and i said i have had 2 c/s. well they said well you know the doc will make you do another c/s. i said well we are planning a homebirth. she said ok thats kool who's delivering the baby. I told her my dh and i. and she said she would have to call me back to see if the doc would still see me if i didnt use him to deliver the baby. and she told me she would call me back right away cuz the doc just walked out of an appt. Well that was an hour ago and i still havent heard anything back.

Do you think i should just say im going to go for the 3rd c/s and when its time i just dont go in anymore?

or

Do i just do a totally unassisted pregnancy? no doc at all hru the whole thing

I really was just going to the docs for u/s and check ups. but i dont know what to do now. Any advice??

ETA: they just called back and left a voicemail i didnt get to my phone intime but they said that the doc wont see me unless i deliver with the doctor.

Most doctors won't accept you if you don't plan on delivering with them. So, don't feel bad about that.

However, I think you should just go to another doctor and start prenatal care. If you still want to do an unassisted home birth, stop going to appointments at the end.

I have an OB she has no idea I plan on doing a hb. She hasnt asked and I havent volunteered the info. If she knew she wouldnt see me (that is how most OBs are) She is just my back up care :giggle:

Yea, I don't think there are any ob's that will take you if you openly say that you aren't planning to deliver with them at the end.

You either have to do the whole thing unassisted or find a homebirth midwife or get prenatal care without letting them know your delivery plans.

Really, that's up to you. No one here can give you medical advice. I can only say what I would do if I were in your situation and wanting a homebirth. I would not tell the doctor that I wouldn't be delivering with them.
