So I've been waiting to feel pregnant and the only thing I have is a yeast infection (sorry if TMI). I had one with my first pregnany and now another one. I was on antibiotics for 10 days so I know it has to do with that but it sucks. I wish it was morning sickness instead. I just looked up a couple of natural remedies and a few of them were really weird but I guess worth a try. I'm desperate right now. The first was dipping a tampon in yogurt and inserting it for an hour or two and the other was the same thing but using diluted tea tree oil. Has anyone heard of this? Do you think using a tampon for an hour or two would be okay being pregnant?

Honestly, I wouldn't insert a tampon just because of the dioxin and chemicals. But I'm extra cautious when it comes to things like that.

i think it is a great idea, but i would open up a capsule of acidophilus on the yogart covered tampon and then insert. and cut out all sugar...it feeds the yeasties!

M/S, Crampy, Bloated, Exhausted, Constipated and Yeast Infection. I feel your pain...
Sorry, I went straight for the Monistat. On day 4 and it appears to be gone.

I could always use a cheese cloth instead of a tampon, right? That shouldn't hurt anything.

I started taking oral acidophilus this morning. I guess I'm just being impatient cause its so annoying.
Kristin, I've always wanted to tell you that I think your pic is gorgeous. You and your husband look so happy together. I wish you the best of luck with TTC and pray that you'll soon be able to complain about all your pregnancy symptoms!

Your right, I'll never look at your avi the same again. It was such an innocent picture until you enlightened me as to the real story :roflmbo: T
I was only taking 2 tabs of the acidophilus twice a day but if your suggestion will make it go away faster I'm going to take 3 at lunch. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Thanks for all the responses and tid bit of info about pics. I tried the yogurt cheesecloth thing and have been taking 3 acidophilus 3 x day since Kristin mentioned it and its almost gone. Dh and I don't eat yogurt so it was quite funny when I told him what I was planning on doing with it. I don't think he ever looked at me like that before. He just shook his head and walked away. I think he was sorry that he asked :)

Ugh, yeast infections suck huh? I just had my first ever...when pregnant! I've never had one before, i guess they are common during pregnancy though. I did the 3 day Monistat Ovule, but if i get one again, i'll try natural methods first. The monistat made me crampy every time i inserted it, and being pregnant following a miscarriage...cramping scares me!
I'm not sure if i would do a tampon, but i have heard good things about yogurt. I've heard a couple ways to do it...one was use something to squirt the yogurt up there, and then lay down so it stays in there for a while. The second sounds odd, but apparantly it works! You're supposed to somehow make a yogurt popsicle...and insert it like that...I guess the cold helps relieve the itching etc...and its a less messy way of getting the yogurt up there. BUT...idk...the idea of putting something that cold up there...eek! Scary!
