I had a pituitary bleed a few years ago. It was extremely painful and took weeks for them to diagnose it. I had to demand a cat scan and even then they sent me home because they read the scan wrong. I guess thats what happens on a Saturday night in the ER. On Sunday, a senior radiologist, reviewed the scan and my doctor called me in a panic. When I got to the hospital they rushed me up to trauma/neuro ICU and then right into a MRI/MRA. By then the bleeding had stopped so they couldn't tell where it was coming from but my entire pituitary gland was filled with blood. It was the worst pain I ever felt and every kept telling me I was having a migraine. They kept doing pregnancy test and pregnancy test because you can have an enlarged pituitary gland and some bleeding with pregnancy.
When I did finally become pregnant they made a bigger deal out of it and I had to go for all these tests to make sure it didn't happen again because they didn't know what caused it to begin with. It has never happened again but it was the weirdest thing in my entire life.

So sorry for just getting back to you!:hugs: I thought I had already replied! :banghead:

How long did it last? {The headaches} Did you have any other problems? {like with hormones, sight, etc}? Did you have problems in pregnancy?
Sorry for all of the questions!:goodvibes:
