Lentil burger recipe?

Someone posted a lentil burger recipe on the old site that looked easy & yummy. Anyone remember it or know who posted it?

There are also lots of lentil burger and other veggie/bean burger recipes at vegweb.com but I haven't tried any of them yet :)

ok here it is!

2 cups lentils cooked
1 egg
1/2c. cracker crumbs
1/2 c onions chopped very small
1 tsp onion powder
1Tbs parsley
1 grated carrot
tomato juice, or V8

mash all ingredients well with potato masher, adding tomato juice until just moist and sticky, (ground meat texture) form into patties and fry in pan in oil.

DH likes cheese on his, I like mayo, eat on a bun with whatever toppings you like!

Do you think this would work to grill these or would they fall apart?

they would definately fall apart! :giggle: but you may be able to bake them instead? they may taste a little different though.

Man I am gonna have to make those i have a ton of lentils in the cabinet that I haven't used that would be a good way to use them.
