I'm STILL trying to decide this next little girl's name, and still haven't found one that is "it," but I think I'm close. Today at work, someone suggested Independence, with a nn Indy. I wasn't thrilled w/the name Independence, but Indy struck me...really like that. So what do y'all think of Indigo? It's totally different from the other names on my list (Margaret/Maggie, Audrey, Vivian, Ruth, Maisy), but kinda stickin with me. No DH around this time to veto my name suggestions as "too wierd," which is good & bad...so I'm looking for opinions.

TIA!
Abbi

As you can see in later posts, someone else's lo is Indica. I really like that, so unless I hear differently, that one's going on the short list, and another friend suggested Indaleah, which I like a lot, too, but the spelling seems a lil complicated. Indalia? Any other suggestions/opinions?

I LOVE it, but I'm totally biased. I thought about naming my DD Indigo too, but she's Indica and we still call her Indy. I love the nick name. Although, I'm not too big on Independence. It's a bit much IMO.

Indy makes me think of our dog...Indy short for Indiana Jones :giggle:

Indigo is cute though. :goodvibes:

ETA:what about Liberty? If you are that theme. My BF DD is Anna Liberty born on the 4th!

I wouldn't say I hate it, but I don't like it much -- but dislike Independence far more! I'm fairly traditional, and tend to avoid nouns and adjectives (including colors).

what about India?

I've heard of people using this one so they can have Indy as a NN. :)
