My 19 month old ds does this alot. If I know that he really doesn't need it (like he nursed 10 minutes before:giggle: ), I distract him with some playtime. It's been working great!

A lot of moms notice a "reattachment" period around 18 months--could be your dd is going through this--kind of like separation anxiety kicking in. I know my dd is doing this too!! She does nurse when she is bored, and I have tried distracting her with other things if I don't want to nurse, and that works sometimes. Also being out and about helps too. And I can't help you with the night nursing--we still do the same thing!

Yes! I have never heard it being called "reattachment" but it makes sense! At La Leche League, there are a lot of moms whose toddlers start nursing like newborns again around 20 months old until they are about 2. Drives them crazy!
It's okay to put limits on her, though, if that's what you need. She is old enough for that. You can spend time with her in other ways. :hugs:
