What an amazing birth! I enjoyed every moment at the hospital, and am even sad at times it went so fast, and I actually miss being pregnant!
All my other 4 labors were over 24 hours long, this one was about 6. I honestly couldn't believe labor could be enjoyable! I pushed one very light push, and her head was out, and I was even able to reach down and pull her the rest of the way out and onto me. It was so beautiful.
Here is my husbands take on the birth that he wrote for our church:
Dear Friend,
What a week! After a much anticipated arrival, Gloria Grace Victa is here! At 7 AM on Tuesday morning, Kati and I arrived at St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua. Kati was induced in mid-morning and the waiting began. Because we have done this four times before, I have learned to come to the hospital prepared. I spent the day reading the Word, meditating on God's principles, and quietly praying. The birth of all our children has been special, but we knew that this birth had a unique significance based upon the prophetic words we received throughout the pregnancy. Just a few weeks ago, Pastor Ron Durham prophesied over us that "what had been hard will now be easy........the birth of this baby will parallel to what is happening in this church. A shifting is taking place......" He then continued speaking of the promises of God that would come to pass upon the birth of the baby. (I will have the total prophesy word for word printed out this week).
These prophetic words confirmed the revelations we received throughout Kati's pregnancy. More than ever before, God gave me insight into His Grace and His Glory over the past nine months. The combination of these two spiritual realities have breathed a fresh
anointing into our lives and ministry. Those who have been apart of our church for the last 6 months know that the major focus of the messages have been on the Grace of God and the Glory of God. Until recently, I have not put the two together. But now I see how they go hand in hand to produce the miraculous in our lives. Everywhere I turn in Scripture, Grace and Glory are united.
Psalms 84:11 (KJV)
11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Proverbs 4:9 (KJV)
9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
John 1:14 (KJV)
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Romans 5:2 (KJV)
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 4:15 (KJV)
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
Ephesians 1:6 (KJV)
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Glory and Grace. Grace and Glory. The impact of God's Grace escorts us into His Glory. It is in the Glory that we find all we need for the Glory is the manifestation of all God is. How powerfully do these two work together!
Leading up to the day Kati was to give birth, we reminded each other of God's Grace and His Glory. These were the two spiritual realities that God would not allow us to forget. We are living in the time of Grace and Glory! When Kati would get nervous about the birth, I would tell her of the testimonies of women who gave birth without pain and with amazing ease as the Glory of God would fill the hospital room. Unfortunately, she had never experienced such a privilege. Despite the medications she was given, all four of her deliveries were excruciating and came with complications. But now was a new time. A different day. Its the time of Glory and Grace.
Throughout the day, a peace was in the hospital room. I remember sitting there thinking, "How come she seems so comfortable? She is showing no signs of pain." As if she was reading my thoughts, she said, "I don't feel any pain, just pressure." Then, at 5:25 PM, she gave birth. It happened so quickly, even the doctor was surprised. Kati was shocked as well, wondering how the baby could be in her arms without all the labor and exhaustion.
The words of the prophesy ran through my mind, "What was hard will now become easy." This is what happens when His Grace and Glory invades the earth. The curse is lifted. Life becomes easy. No pain.......just pressure.
I didn't even have time to cry as I did with each of my other children! I was in too much of awe at God's grace and glory that was in the room.
