Just wondering if any other mama's in the Sept or other months have had marginal placenta previa??? I went into preterm labor on the 2nd of June at 23 weeks  Very Scary! But the hospital was able to stop contractions and I was sent home. At the u/s the tech told us I had marginal placenta previa. So needless to say I go back for another u/s on Wednesday to see if my placenta has moved.
I met a mama yesterday at church who had the same thing and ended up in a c-section. Just want more input to get my mind prepared if things on Wednesday don't go as I have already planned. Any input would be appreciated!

I am going through the same thing right now. In my second ultrasound it still had not moved so I will be going in for another one in a couple of weeks. They want me to be about 34 weeks pregnant. If it doesn't move I will be having a c-section. I don't know if I can answer anything for you or not but what would you like to know?

I am in a similar boat. Marginal pp diagnosed at 24wks. If you were diagnosed at 23wks with marginal pp, chances are very high that it will move before term (and before 37wks, too). Slow moving placentas move at approximately .3cm per week, on average, so you have plenty of weeks from 23 to 37/40 for it to move out of the way. Good luck!

I was bleeding at 12 weeks 6 days and was diagnosed (very early) with complete placenta previa. It moved upwards slightly and is now just close to my cervix...I guess it's called a low lying placenta now. I already had 2 c-secs too and my uterus is very thin due to preterm labor, and an irritable uterus, and the other sections...my OB said my uterus is like window she could see straight through, so...I am not botherd by the location of my placenta for that reason.

Well good news, for me at least. My placenta did move to a "desired" location! But my cervix is a little on the short side and while in the u/s I was having uterine contractions. Honestly this pregnancy has had me on pins and needles since week 23.
Thanks for all the info. that you other mama's have given me, I will keep my fingers crossed for you all as well. I am ready to go back to being a boring pregnant person...I don't like all the extra "attention" from the medical professionals-just want to get my watermelon belly and enjoy the ride!
