I will be 37 weeks this week and DH will be LOVING this time as he will be getting some nookie tons from now until labor day :giggle: I also started EPO a couple of weeks ago, orally and vaginally last week. My MW says that my cervix is ripe and I am a bit dilated but I forgot to even ask her how much! :banghead:

I just hope this little guy is ready to go soon because it seems like my body is ready to go! Woohoo! :lostit:

Nada that's intrusive. Not in the mood for sex, so just sitting around being patient. :)

What is EPO? I keep reading about it on MDC.

I have been seeing the chiro, drinking my RRL and Shepard's Purse Tea, and keep up with taking a bunch of vitamins and supplements. Now if I could just convince myself I want some healthy to eat instead of chocolate and cereal....

Nothing. Just trying to be patient and let nature progress on its own. I stress the word "trying" in that sentence.

EPO=evening primrose oil. It helps to ripen your cervix but will not put you into labor. :) I take 3 gel capsules starting at 34 weeks, orally and take 4-6 vaginally in addiction to the 3, vaginally at night. My cervix is already ripe and ready to rock-n-roll!

same here. DH and I joke about having sex, but really I have no interest at all. Plus with my first it made no difference whatsoever. He was still induced 8 days after his EDD. Dh is sick right now anyway, so even though I'd LOVE to be done with this pg and have my baby in my arms, I'm hoping he stays right where he is until dh feels well again. I have no interest in doing this alone!

I sit on my yoga ball when I work, which I do anyways to tone my belly....
I have RRL tea but I don't like the flavor.
I do take EPO orally.
I'm not trying to induce labor or anything, just want to be prepared and make sure my recovery is fast and easy. I have a 21 month old, I'm going to say my "downtime" after this birth will be hours if that... haha...

I am trying everything in the book, except for castor oil.

I walk at least 1 hour a day, followed by about 45 minutes on the birthing ball rolling my hips around.

The past two weekends I have: mowed the lawn, washed the fence (by hand), swept the sidewalks and cleaned the barn. I'm basically doing anything I can to keep me on my feet and more pressure on him to drop.

I'm really trying to get into the mood for sex, but man is it ever awkward at this stage.

For foods I have been eating lots of fresh pineapple. I'm at 38wks3days and only 1cm dilated and 30% effaced but my OB says that is a good sign since it is my first.

I'm just impatient, hurry up and get here little one!!!

I didn't know there was anything I should be doing to prep my body for delivery. This is #3 so I am hoping it will be quick and easy. My edd is July 12th so I have no idea how many weeks and/or days that is in medical lingo. I just know it could be anytime. I am 1-2cm dilated but I forgot to ask about effacement. I know I should be taking my vitamins/supplements but I HATE THEM!!! I started taking my iron supplement again because I have been feeling really tired and figure I need the iron other than that I haven't been doing much to prep. As for sex....what is that??? My dh gets freaked out about sex once my belly gets too big so I get a nice break (at least for a while):giggle2:

i went to the beach and got burnt...so i cant walk until that heals, it hurts too much to be in the heat. but before that i was walking every day, sitting on my ball, epo, raspberry leaf tea, not much sex because my husband sprained his knee. i dont feel like anything is happening yet though.

Nina-Sorry to hear you are burnt and your DH hurt his knee! :hugs: That stinks. :( That reminds me of getting back to drinking my tea! Thanks. :)

Yeah. DH knows too. I wish I had never said anything about "sex every day multiple times after 37 weeks" to him...he will NOT LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!! :giggle2:

I have been drinking RRL tea throughout the pregnancy and doing EPO since 36 weeks but I don't know if EPO does anything. And, I walk everyday but that's not to get the baby out, it's to keep my sanity (I go with a friend and our kids and actually get to have adult conversation! LOL)

I will also be giving DH some lovin tonight, if only because he won't be getting any for a while after the birth!

I'm 4 days past my edd and ready to get things on the road but I won't do anything else.

Ha! Sex... what is that. He has barely touched me since I was 6 months. It "creeps him out" that our son is "sitting right there". I test the waters about once a week... and he isn't biting. *sigh*

Where are you all getting the RRL Tea? I'd like to try some, but don't know where to get it.

Sex? I think I remember it, I mean it had to have happened about 38 weeks ago right, just a little foggy:)

I can not wait to be my hubby's wife again!! If everything goes well I doubt I can make the 6 weeks afterward.

Oh right, this thread wasn't just about that...

I did have tons more energy this past weekend but that had vanished. I may go get a birthing ball today and sit on that for a while.

You can get RRL tea at your healthfood store. Now be sure to get the Red Raspberry Leaf Tea and NOT the raspberry flavored tea! BIG difference :) I don't particularly like it so it gets mixed in with hot lemonade, chilled and then I drink it like that. Yumm-O!

The sex comments are making me laugh. Dh had soooo been looking fwd to week 37, and now he's like "I'm still not ready at work for the time off, let's wait until next week to start."

What a turn around! I have not been able to get him to keep his hands off the belly for months, he LOVES it- and now this.

If a day came that my hubby didn't want Sex; I'd know something was wrong!:giggle:

He's purposefully not taking his Energizing Iron supplements so that when the baby is born his libido won't be bothering him. Poor guy:hugs:

Hee hee. These posts make me grin. :D I can totally relate on both sides! Sometimes I want to...most times I don't. It is just so uncomfortable!

But to answer the original question, I have been taking lots of naps (know I won't get much sleep once our LO arrives), doing Kegel exercises, squatting, tailor sitting...and should really be doing some more pelvic rocks, but can't seem to get them done. I have been thinking about airing up our exercise ball, but just haven't taken the time to go get the pump. Maybe I will finally do that today. It really is much more comfy to sit on that this computer chair!
