My DS took FOREVER to PL. He was bladder trained at two, and here we are, almost 4, and he's still not bowel trained. He went a month and a half without a SINGLE accident, now he's having them again. What is going on? WHat can I do?

Geez, lovely to be noticed. I'll go back to being invisible.

I have no advice just good luck. My DS is almost 3 and refuses to use the potty at all. No pees or poops and I've tried everything I can think of. I think he is trying to stay in diapers because of his sister being in them and he's having jealousy issues right now. Has anything in your life changed drastically that might make him not want to use it anymore? Sometimes that sort of stuff can 'cause weird reactions in kids. I hope he figures things out and continues using it again for you. I know how frustrating it can get.

Nothing's changed, but I feel your pain too. I thought we were never even going to get to THIS point.
We trained DS by allowing him to pee outside. HE peed on every tire, every plant, every EVERYTHING. He would ask to go outside to pee. Then he learned he could control it, and would go inside.
Bowel training was harder. He was a HOLDER. He'd hold until he'd get so constipated he'd bleed when he went. We had to do laxatives. It was awful.

:hugs: mama. You're not alone. I have had quite the road with potty learning as well.
Did you consult your pediatrician when your ds was constipated? He may not "seem" as constipated now, but if he is having accidents, he may still be withholding and then having accidents when he can't hold it any longer. If you haven't seen a ped. about, I'd recommend it to rule out any physical problems.
If you'd like more details on what we've tried for my dd, feel free to pm me. :hugs: mama. It's a tough spot to be in.
