Is this happening in your house? I really need advice on how to deal... we are in a potty pause mainly bc I am due with baby in less than 3 wks. DS is almost 2 - I dont care if he goes potty or not at this point - it has only become a fight because he will constantly change his mind.
DS attempts to take diaper off - "go potty"
Mom takes diaper off - goes up to pee
Mom attempts to put diaper back on- child is kicking and screaming "I have to pee!"
Mom lets child up to go potty but child refuses to go into the bathroom.
Mom attempts to put diaper back on again. Child is screaming & kicking "I have to pee" - wont get diaper on.
Continues a few times, then mom manages to get diaper on.
Child decides to scream at the top of his lungs for as long as it takes.
Mom puts him in time out - child cries & screams the whole time "I have to pee". :yuck:
And this happens at least 2-3x a day. Starting first thing in the morning. Throw in a fight about taking off a shirt, and u get the picture:yuck:
