Does anyone have the Disney Princess 3 Pc Carriage Bedroom from rooms to go? Do you like it? My dd needs a big girl bed as she is moving slowly into her room. She is VERY girly. Does your dd have a girly room? Can I see pics?

A big bed like that for a child who isn't even two. I didn't get my son a twin bed till he was 5...:headscratch: My girls are still in a crib and toddler bed and my youngest is only 2mo younger than yours.. no way i'd put her in a "big girl" bed.. just kinda curious why u want her to grow up so fast... lol:2cents:

It doesn't mean she wants her to grow up too fast. First off my mom NEVER put any of us in toddler beds and my BFF never put her daughter in one either. I put my son in one at around 14 or 15 months and then by 2 (actually maybe right before) my dad bought him a twin bed and matching dresser. I did just recently put in back in a toddler bed, but only because he wanted a racecar bed and I found a toddler one on CL. Had I found the twin sized one I would have gotten that. Lots of people use the twin beds and just put a rail guard so they dont fall off.

To the OP that bed is sooooo beautiful and if I had a little girl I would be so on that!:giggle: This is another reason why I want a girl sooooo bad!

Maybe her child is more independent and doesn't need to be in a crib until she is five.

I don't think buying a twin bed is making your kids grow up fast just my :2cents: . DS1 went straight from the crib to a full size bed and was fine.

OP. I love the bed it is made for a princess!!!! I would have LOVED something like that when I was little and I'm not even that girlie.

I love it, if I had oodles and oodles of money Id order it right now along with all the other stuff thats on the side .... well we wouldnt need more than one dresser but everything else, my dd is 2 in a toddler bed I think she will be there until she is 4 mostly cause we cant afford to keep buying new beds lol. If you do get it share pics of the finished room.

I plan on getting that for my dd.I found it when I was pg and fell in love. And were gonna do her room the same color and with the same decals in the pic,They sell them at our hardware store. My son went straight to a twin and so will dd.No need to waste money on a toddler bed in my opinion!

I think the bed is gorgeous!

DS had a full sized bed at 2yrs, the bigger sized race car bed. He only had a toddler bed for a few months because our crib is convertible. Then again he sleeps with DS#2 and I and not in his room :giggle:

I LOVE that princess bed, I say go for it!

Omg! That's totally overkill on the froo-froo for me, lol, but it's gorgeous!

I don't see how a bigger bed has anything to do with the maturity level of your child. Don't worry about that. I don't have pictures of my dd's room because she doesn't have one yet.

I dont want her to grow up too fast! She has slept w/ me until the last month. SHe wants nothing to do w/her crib. Never has.Never slept in it.mWhen I turned it into a toddle bed. Still no go. And I LOVE her crib. It's very pretty! I have an air mattress in her room now. I have to sleep w/ her half of the night because my dh needs for us to reclaim our bed.
And just allitle info- She is very independent! Walking by 9 mths, potty trained by 21 months. But still my breastfeeding attached baby:thumbsup:

So cute I love it! the only thing I would say is I had a daybed as a kid and the metal frame was super annoying, I kept getting my arms caught in it :giggle: . But maybe having a bed like that from the get go would be different.

I say go for it. She'll love it.

Here's a pic of my 3 yr old daughters room, she has been in this twin bed since she was 18 months, the reason we took her out of her baby bed is because she was climbing out of it. When we first put her in the twin bed I had one side of the bed pushed up against the wall and a rail on the other side, we've no problems at all with her in this bed.
BTW, I love that bed you're thinking of buying, I didn't know they made them like that, my daughter loves cinderella.http://lisaaag.homestead.com/files/bed2.JPG

It's a very pretty bed. But, I think there are other ways of going girly. My almost 5yr old is very girly too, but she has changed her taste a bit in the last year. I'd be afraid I'd spend $1000 on a bed that she will loose interest in by the time she is 6-7yrs old.

I do not think mom2joshkayleighaubrey (http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/member.php?u=39248) was being hostile in any way. Yet reading some posts I have a feeling some people thought she was.

I am a totally attached mom co-sleeping and all that, but before age 2 DD decided to sleep in her room. She would love that bed.

I do not like the whole Disney Princess but that bed is WOW!!!!! so cool.

Anyways....

I LOVE that bed! I so want one!! There's an idea... Leave ds and dh in my room, I'll decorate the nursery in that and I'll move out :giggle: I'm jealous of your dd.

BTW: back in the day when all of us ruined, horribly raised kids were coming up we all went to a twin from a baby bed...They didn't have all that fancy conversion stuff and other beds... Guess our parents were just aweful!:roflmbo:

The only reason DD is transitioning to a toddler bed is that we were given one free. I wouldn't have spent the money on it. We had picked out a twin we liked, when my mom found our toddler bed in her attic and gave it to us.

I wish that I could put my DD in a bed like that! :drif: We're moving across the country, and I am planning on buying yet another crib for my 18 month old (even though it'll be used as a toddler bed for the most part). I am so afraid to put her in a big girl bed! My kid is very hyperactive, and a climber. Who knows what she'd do in the middle of the night if she could get out of bed. I don't want to find out. :giggle2: I'm getting a crib from IKEA that actually converts to a normal toddler bed (not just taking the side off).

I did buy new bedding to replace her crib set, though. We got a toddler quilt and pillow from IKEA, along with 2 pairs of quilt/pillow covers and a few different sheet sets. Easy to wash, and very easy to swap out when she has an accident or throws up in the middle of the night. I also loved their toddler furniture, it's all so colorful and inexpensive. I wouldn't get anything very expensive that she was going to grow out of in a few years, or draw on with marker. :giggle2: :2cents:

thats what i was thinking. thats a lot of money for a bed she might grow out of in a few years. its pretty though.... maybe just a regular canopy bed of some sort, with pretty bedding and a lacy canopy

and as for the size- my ds is 9 months, and we'll be buying his big bed shortly after he turns one. he co sleeps and has only slept in his crib a handful of times. he'll still probably be mostly sleeping with us...

heck, we've decided to not even buy a crib for the next baby, lol
