I am 36 weeks and 4 days.

I have been having irregular braxton hicks contractions since Saturday night when we went to the hospital for a false alarm. Baby dropped last week. Since then, I have passed a few mucousy clots that I think were part of my mucous plug. This afternoon I started having very uncomfortable, almost painful menstrual type cramps and low back ache. The cramps come from my back to my sides and down into my lower stomach/pelvic region. I have still been having braxton hicks as well and am now experiency lots of pressure in my bottom. Do you think this is early labor?

Oh yea, I have been dilated to 2-3 cm since Saturday.. they checked me today and no change but these pains started after that.

I'm 39 weeks along and that sounds like what my midwives have been telling me to look for as I go into labor. Do the contractions go away as you walk around? Could it be some kind of trapped gas? Since you aren't at 37 weeks yet maybe you should call your OB or MW when you get 4 painful contractions in an hour. Or even call them now and see what they would recommend for you to do.
All the best

Sounds like it to me. I would go get checked just to be sure.

Sounds like it to me too. Do you know if baby is anterior? Good luck mama, let us know how you are when you get a chance. :goodvibes:

Sounds like it to me too, but it could be another false alarm... the back ache makes me think it is the real deal though... I had it at 32 weeks but they were abel to stop the labor. My MW said if I have any contractions/BH to drink a lot of water, empty my bladder, & lay down... if things subside, then it is probably not labor.

Let us know how you are doing... praying all is well for you & your baby :goodvibes:.
