I am officially 34 wks. and 2 days, but measuring a week ahead. Yay!!
I've popped in here and there since first joining DS's :) Just haven't had time to post much of anything, because I have to DD's at home, and have been taking online classes for my Bachelors. I added my name to the DD thread, but I am not sure it's been updated in a little while. (Which is no big deal, just want to let you know I am around! :thumbsup )
I had contractions 2-3 min. apart, 1 min. long last Sunday from 10:50 in the morning, lasting throughout the night. At 6:15, we finally went into L&D upon Dr's orders, and they had to observe me for another hour... ugh :banghead: By that time, the contx. went from probably a 6 on a scale of 1-10, to a 7-8. However, my cervix was still closed, which was great news. They were just getting more and more painful. DH could tell I was in pain, and felt bad because there was nothing he could do besides be there with me and talk to me. (This will be his first child.) He hates hospitals/Dr.'s offices, anyway, so it's not easy for him to go through either. They ended up going with a shot of Tributaline (Brethine) to stop the contx., and gave me a bag of fluids. After that shot, the world was good again to me :giggle: I felt MUCH better, and wanted to go home so badly. We didn't end up getting discharged until about 10p. WHAT an experience. I didn't start getting anxious and having anxiety until they got worse, but I am SO glad for that drug!!!! They have me on home bedrest. I can't even go out in the pool and play with the girls because they want me to stay in out of this 90 degree heat we are having. I have to stay inside in the A/C, or with a fan on me, and chug water.
I believe baby has dropped, and did so about a week or so ago, because my pubic/pelvic bones hurt SOOOO bad. I mean, they hurt just when I turn in bed. :( It's been five years since I had my last one, so this is like trying to remember everything all over again. I just have to keep thinking-not much longer now....I am due Aug. 27th, but I don't think I'll last that long. The nurse I had said that if I come back in with those same contx. around 36 weeks, they won't send me back home. I just do NOT want to go through that again, unless it's the real thing, kwim?
I am so miserably tired too :( I think the older you get, the more tiring it is. Especially when you have two kids at home. At least they are 5 and almost 8, so can half-way fiend for themselves. I will try my best to keep you all updated!! :) Happy pregnancy, mamas!!!!!!!!!!
