:giggle: I am SUCH a planner... We'll be finding out the sex and I like to have my names already so as soon as we find out I can start calling the baby by his/her name. We did this will the other 4 dc.... the only time we changed a name was dd... she was supposed to be Alison Rachel but dh's g-pa Glen died 3 months before she was born and he always would say to us "be good and if you can't be good name him after me" so we changed dd's name to Alison Glenne :goodvibes:

I'm having a hard time with boy names this time. I want it to "match" my other dc names (Alison, Matthew, Jason and Benjamin) so something solid and strong but not too old fashioned yet not too modern. I have 6 nephews also so alot of boy names I do like are taken. I have a feeling it is a boy though although maybe because I've had 3 boys in a row :giggle:

oh, we are...

our options thus far are:

Benjamin ("Benji") Maddox
Cadence Elizabeth
Viola Paige
Royce (no middle name yet)

The boys want to name the baby "Talullah"

My only requirement is that it doesn't end in N, our other three do (Sebastian, Braedon & Grayson), and I am constantly calling them by the wrong names so we use nick names (Seve, Brae & Ramses (middle name).

OP - that's a sweet story!

We have a girl's name and have had it for quite a while. A boy's name is more difficult. My husband is named after his father but neither of us really like his name all that much. I mean - I like my HUSBAND'S name but I don't like "Junior" or "Trey" or anything like that and I refuse to call my child "D i c k" - which is what his father went by. My DH has no problem with it but I do - an apparently, DS does, too.

My dh didn't want a Jr either so our first son is Matthew Steven (Steven is dh's first name) and our second son is Jason Todd (Todd being dh's middle name) so when we were pregnant with another boy we picked Benjamin Paul (Paul for my mom who wanted to name a boy Paul Michael but she had 4 girls)

We've kept the same boys name all along since we have 2 girls we haven't got to use it yet. My dh thought of it and it is Milo Hartley (after his g-pa) BUT if it is a boy and born on the 21st the middle name changes to John for my g-pa b/c it was his b-day and he raised me.

Girl names - we might have an idea at 9 months :giggle:

I haven't been motivated to think of names while being sick. We don't usually make a decision until near or after the birth. With Haven we actually named him Jasper Rhys on video then changed it about an hour later (ridiculous story why but I am SO glad his name isn't Jasper).

I think our children's names flow together- Haley, Haven, Paisley- so I will want something that fits in. Probably 2 syllables with a long middle name.

Oh yeah, I've definitely been coming up with names. Each time we change our girl name and so far our girl name is Kayla...no middle name yet.

For a boy...no ideas. I've chosen names so far that are a bit on the unique side...Ashton & Elias...so I'll need something else along those lines. Middle name will probably be after my Dad because this is the end of his lineage (he had all girls).

We haven't really talked about it much, but I have middle names just no firsts yet...LOL! If it's a boy it'll be Luke or Lucas after dh and if it's a girl it'll be Jewel(I think) which is my mom's middle name.

My Fiance is Richard the 2nd, and DS is Richard the 3rd, friends and family poke fun and call him ****- I hate it, but DF doesn't like Ricky, Trey, Trez, Trip, or anything like it- so for now- we call him a combo of his first and middle name, Richard Houston, or sometimes- just Houston [only when daddy isn't around because he doesn't like that, :giggle: ]

Good luck finding names! I personally like James & Gabriel they sound pretty strong!

Samantha has always been a fav. of mine but my cousin got it before me.

Lily is sweet: and it's part of the name of my mom's business so it holds a special thought for me. I just  my sweet mom.

Ahhh- Isabella.... the name DH is fighting and fighting for. DD was possibly going to be that name but just tooo many around here also.

Franchesca (Frankie) and Gabriella (Gabby) are on the top of our list right now. DH just mentioned Sierra since it's 2 syllables like our other LO's.

Boys we have no clue as always... I do like Landon though.

If it's a boy (which I don't think it is) then the boy wants a junior....Jonathan David. I'm having a hard time figuring out what I'd call him, though. Jon is already Jon - Jonathan is too formal for me - I don't like David or Davy - Jonny is eh - and I really don't like JD...Oh well, I seriously doubt it's a little dude anyhow!

For a girl I'm totally stuck on Violet right now. I never planned to match the 1st letters of my kid's names, but I just love the idea of "Vera and Vi" - so cute!

If it is a girl, her name will be:
Madalynn Renee
Madalynn spelled that way because it has the name 'lynn' in it and Lynn is my middle name.
Renee is my mom's middle name.
Our daughter is Rylee which has 'lee' in it, and that is DH's middle name.

Yes!

Boy names are harder for us my DH likes Porter and Orem (or maybe its Oran? Oren? who knows...)
I like Emmett, Ezekial, Aiden, Auron, Oren Aedric
... I like names that start with vowels, and are oldfashioned or unique. DD is named Adelle
for girls I think I like Aimiee, Avrie or Avery, Esther, Amelie, Emmy...

Avery or Avrie (pronounced the same) are my fav. for a girl, and Emmett is my fav. for a boy.

I have a friend that named her little girl Emiline Hope kind of after herself - her name is Emily - and for some reason everyone thought that was odd. I really thought it was a pretty name, though, and their little girl is really sweet and pretty, just like I think the name sounds.:2cents:

I love all the names so far!! Makes me wanna rethink our choices!

Names haven't really come up too much with this baby. With our last one we had such a hard time coming up with a boys name, that by the time we finally found out the sex, we had just barely picked a name... only to learn we were having a girl!!! Strange thing was... we picked out a girls name on the 1st try and never looked back. And it fit well with our oldest DD's name as well.

So for now we have an Emily and an Ellery.

Many think we should stick with the E theme, but I think not.

For a boy so far, we're pretty much set on Jude Alexander.

We've not even thought of girl's names yet. Here's to hoping for a boy!!!
