I have a few pairs of Medela nursing pads, but I'm sad to admit that my boobs are just too small for them. I'm only an A-B cup even while nursing. I'm thinking that I need something small and a little contoured so it fits right. Those huge ones just bunch up and you can see all kinds of lumps and bumps through shirts. Any suggestions?

All of my cloth nursing pads are smaller and better-fitting than the sposie ones. (I'm a B right now nursing. I live for the couple weeks of C when my milk first comes in :giggle:) I don't remember the brands, honestly, but I think they are all WAHM.

The Johnson's sposies are the perfect size/shape, but I'm not sure how to go about finding reusable ones.

I would order some cloth and ask for the size to be smaller . . . this Mama will do it for you (tell her Jenny & Reese sent you!):

I have about 4 pairs from her - I love her!! (plus, her clips are too adorable). I ordered a spaecial 3x thick night time one from her - she is helpful.

HTH!

I absolutely will second the custom orders. I did the same thing, but for overly large chest.

Good luck!

Ah yes, one of the things that I, as a small chested mama myself, was looking forward to the most about pregnancy and nursing was the potential for bigger boobs....but alas it doesn't happen to everyone does it (myself included)? :banghead: I am still an A cup like prepregnancy and my little monster is about 6 months old now.

Anyhow, to answer your question. I have purchased quite a few nursing pads from www.homemademama.com and I love them very much. They are contoured in a tear drop shaped design and I definitely like them better than round shaped pads (like you say, it bunches up on smaller boobs). I love the bamboo velour ones best - they are thin and comfy and retain their shape even after many washings. I highly recommend her nursing pads!

Good luck!
Kathy :)

Another small chested mama here. I ended up just having my mom made me some out of flannel & fleece, so if you can find someone to make them, it was the only way I could find something comfortable. I told her she should go into business with them because they are great!
