UPDATE! 10/19/08 --Hey Ladies! I'm in the waiting game for my first cycle with Clomid. I'm hopeful and trying to stay positive.

Can I ask you all for 2 things?

1. Can you look at my chart & tell me what you think? It's the linky in between the TTC blinkies. It's not giving me a clear O & my cover line actually moved today CD 20...so who knows. I did get up & put the dogs out before I temped though.

2. Can you help me find a list of fertility "treatments" in order from least invasive to most? With descriptions would be nice.

Thank You so much!

Update! Here's some info but see Post 10 too!

Today is cycle day 100 & I'm not pregnant! But, there is hope for within the next 6 months. Wish me luck!

Well, its almost August & I've only had 2 periods this year. Today is Cycle Day 50 & I've been on Metformin since May 9.

I'm just feeling down. I just WISH I could be normal. I want to have a baby, but I don't want to torture myself over it.

I HATE taking my Met. It makes me so sick.

OK, I'm done crying.

I'm so sorry mama, I don't know exactly what you are going through, but I do know that ttc can be so so hard sometimes :hugs:

I second the question about provera. I just started a new cycle after a 61 day cycle . It had to be started with Provera :bighug:

I totally understand your dislike of Met. :yuck: I am on it too. That is nasty stuff :hugs:

My current GYN doesn't do any meds for PCOS other than Met. If I need/want more I have to go to a specialist. DH isn't THAT ready to commit to TTC so he thinks we should wait & try out the Met a little longer. I can still up my dosage (but not for another 2-6 weeks) to the full 2000mg a day, but I'm just feeling sad about it all. I always just wanted to "let it happen" by going off the pill & then suddenly getting pregnant..guess we don't get what we want, huh?

Thanks for the hugs, I know some of you have been trying a lot harder/longer than me. It means a lot to know we can talk about it here.

i am not sure if you would be interested in this or not, but my acup can get my period started by putting the needles in the right places. actually you sound like you would really benefit from seeing a acup who specializes in fertility issues b/c PCOS is nothing but a hormonal imbalance issue. Get your hormones back to normal and you prob would feel a lot better and likely would conceive without any additional treatment.

Update! I saw a new doctor today! He is optimistic that I can get pregnant within the next 3-6 months! Yay!

He wants me to lose weight (the more the better), start Folic Acid, take Provera to start a cycle NOW, and come back in 2 months if I am NOT pregnant or haven't gotten a period on my own!

At that point if I need more help, he's going to give me more Provera & Clomid. Which he thinks will work for me!

Yay!

Back to serious charting & back to trying to lose weight! Yay!

:goodvibes: Good luck hun!

I am currently in the middle of my cycle, but before this one, I hadn't had one since Feb8. :banghead:

I know how frustrating it is to not want to have to see a doctor just to have them tell you stuff you already know, and to have them start something that should be naturally done for you.
Anyway, I hope everything goes in your favor! :giggle:
