My dd still puts everything in her mouth? It drives me crazy! Let me tell you a little about her. She is a difficult child. She is always going, never stops. She is very stubborn and always pushing my buttons. She has been a handful since she was born. She is a very physical girl, very hands on. Very social, and not afraid of much. She had reflux as a baby until about 2 and was on meds for it. She was a very unhappy baby. She also sucks her thumb. And she also has a speech "delay", not sure if that is the correct term. She sees a therapist for it once a week while she is in preschool.

So I think that about covers it. Anyone have any ideas of why she still puts things in her mouth? Thanks.

I have a 4 & 16yr old who do the same things. My oldest will still chew straws soda bottle caps, and if he is on the computer he will use his teeth and crip the soda cans. Both of them have ALWAYS done it. I use Club Soda to clean my windows because I find my 4 yr old liking them ( making tongue designs). Both are bright well adjusted kids with the oral habit

Good to know mine is not the only one. Crimp soda cans, doesn't that hurt?

My 5 year old does the same thing. She licks everything. I have to constantly tell her to get her mouth off of nasty things. Thank gods she doesn't ride in a grocery cart anymore!
