So we start another month

Today is August 1st. We all are a minimum of 1 mth to our due dates (for me close to 2 mths yet, oh well). What does august bring for you?

For me we have:

DH's grandma's bday party
DH will be accepting a new job on wednesday (he is choosing btw 2 options)
a family wedding on the 9th
we're hosting a potluck church bbq at our house
my parents anniversary
Work on To-Do list

I'm sure that there will be more events to plan, but as of the 1st that's what we're doing. I'm glad for the events to keep us busy. We had really hoped to go camping this year, but DH's work schedule just hasn't allowed it. What are you doing to keep busy this month?

DD's birthday party to throw (but keeping it simple- taking kids to the pool!)
My sister coming to visit

And if I'm really motivated:

Finish my Child Development Certificate
Go to orientation for family home child care

We'll see. I know being busy makes the time go faster, but I'm really trying to force myself to take it easy this time!

baby shower next weekend
sister coming to town
school starting for older kids
have to get my work stuff in order to be off 6+ weeks
31+ REALLY hot days (it's 103 degress here today--yikes!)
tour of the new hospital/L&D area
visiting grandparents in a week--4-hour car ride

I'm also trying to take it pretty easy this time--fairly easy to do since it's SO hot outside, and my poor ankles are swelling.

We have nothing super special here, our baby will be born this month.

They'll take me off meds and bedrest at 35 weeks, so I have 1 1/2 weeks to where I need to hold my little man off. I am in the hospital now, and have been 3 times, this is my final time, I have been promised I won't leave this time unless I make it to 35 weeks. I am 3 cm 80% effaced and -2 station with a bulging bag or water and funneling cervix, my specialist and OB think I am a loaded gun since I have been progressed since 27 weeks...so I am trying to be good and wait as best as I can to have the baby at least 35 weeks :)

Well when you put it that way, our due dates seem REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL close lol. Im due September 7th but for some reason I keep feeling she'll come on September 2nd. I feel REALLY strongly about it. I'm probably wrong but I really feel that will be the day she arrives (or I go into labor).

This month I have:
DD's dentist appointment
School starts again (on the 11th)
Midwives home visit
Possible baby shower (the girl who offered to throw me a shower hasn't really been active with it).

Not much for us this month either really, DS starts school the 25th and we might try to go see my parents again the weekend before that but I'll be right at 36w then so I'm not sure it's the best idea. If I were having a hospital birth I wouldn't worry about it, but since that is totally what I want to avoid, I'm thinking we should just stay home. :( I think that is really it, just gotta finish getting everything together for the birth and for LO. Oh and we'll have our home visit with the midwives too.

Sept 2 is my b-day!! Good day to have her :) My EDD is the 19th, but I really think he'll come earlier too, I have no idea why, but I just have this feeling.

We have started back our homeschooling this month.:lostit: My weekly check-ups start soon, along with Chiro visits:hugs: and that's about it. I'm trying to keep a little busy to get my mind off baby, but at the same time leave enough rest time. I'm really tired most days. Also it's so very HOT around here right now.
Anyone else feel like they have Baby brain? It's all I can think about. I'm so excited to have another little one. It's also my first cloth diapering experience. I've enjoyed shopping for cloth. We also don't know if we are having a boy or girl, so I can't wait to find out.

Truthfully I'm not on baby brain yet. I have some big things that I need to get done first. I'm late doing the monthly books for our business and so I'm trying to get that out of the way. Books is what is on my mind everyday and the fact that tomorrow DH chooses a new job. :lostit: He has been offered one and tomorrow we think he'll be offered another, and this is the one we both want. It will be SOOOOO good for him to have a new job. We have made the decision to close our welding shop and have DH go back to work for someone else. When DH applied for these jobs it was a huge weigh that lifted off both our shoulders. Let me tell you I won't miss doing the books for the business. I'm such a procrastinator and I'm always doing them at the last minute. So I knew that it was only going to get worse with this new baby coming.

So long story short I think that in 2 weeks I'll let myself get baby brain. I figure 2 weeks will allow me the chance to get everything business wise sorted out and filed till the next month. YAH.
