Ok I am freaking out here I have had cramping in my upper stomach right around my ribs. I have no idea what it is. DH keeps saying to stop worring but I cant. I havnt had any bleeding or spotting, just the cramping.
Went to the Dr, and of course had to POAS it came back BFP she did blood work and I will find out tomorrow if my HCG is where it needs to be if not then we will repeat in 48 hours. Just keep me in your prayers that everything is fine and I wont have a reason to repeat the blood work. I am still cramping like crazy and have a fever. The Dr did say it looked like a bug but wanted to be safe and draw blood. She said there are some nasty bugs going around too. Thanks mamas for all your support and I will reupdate when I get a call tomorrow.:hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Got a phone call from the dr and my levels are at 2700 for 4 weeks so she said it is normal. Thanks so much for all your prayers mamas.

8/7/08 I am having to have my HCG levels checked again tomorrow to make sure they have doubled because the cramping is still pretty bad and a different dr said I was on the lower end of what the usually like to see. SOOO prayers they have doubled from 2700 on Tuesday. I will find out the results on Monday so that means I have to go all weekend worrying:banghead: Prayers and vibes please:mrgreen:

8/11/08 the dr is suppose to call today with results from Friday...This is going to be a long morning.
I talked to the nursed and my HCG levels have went from 2700 to 5500..Thanks God...:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: for all your prayers.

Try not to worry mama! Up around your ribs is probably GI related, not uterine. Problematic pregnacy cramps are uterine and lower abdominal (like ovarian). I hope it goes away soon!

so it is the lower cramping that is not good? You would think after 2 kids I would feel a little more confident but I just get scared.

I was going to say food trouble and/or gas.
Not to be crass.
But I suppose with the depth of normally TMI things we all discuss here, mentioning gas is no big thing...

I hope you're feeling better! I have had cramping today too, only lower right side. I have bad gas today (sorry TMI) so I'm hoping that's all it is. Oh the joys of pregnancy.

That is great! A really good number too! I don't know if they are comparable but I think mine was only 286 at 4 weeks then 2090 at 4 1/2 weeks. Hopefully this means you have a really sticky baby!

First Amy :hugs: and prayers!

Second - I'm not a doctor but I hope your other doctor is worrying you for nothing. Here is a link to the American Pregnancy Associations hCG guidlines. 2700 at 4 weeks high according to their chart, not low. http://www.americanpregnancy.org/duringpregnancy/hcglevels.html I'm not sure why he/she thinks that is on the lower end of what they like to see? I went back and looked at a calendar and here was mine: 37 at 2 days before expected period, 286 at 4 weeks and 2 days, and 2090 at 4 weeks and 6 days and the doctor said that was just fine as long as it continued to double every 48 hours. I go back in either tomorrow or Monday to check again.

I have my fingers crossed for you that everything is fine! By the grace of God we are amazingly still hanging on, though I'm not officially "re-joining" the group until we see a heartbeat as we are still day to day.

ETA: I did read that it isn't a good idea to compare numbers because two people on exactly the same cycle can have hugely different hCGs. Hopefully though the fact that my doctors aren't worried about my numbers (other issues yes but not the numbers) will give you some peace until Monday!

I pray that no one takes offense to this. My husband suggested I put this up for you to read.
Please read with an open heart.

What I feared has come upon me;
what I dreaded has happened to me.
Job 3:25

I struggle with letting my fears take over me, like many people.

This is also a great reminder of what we should be doing.

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5

Again, I am only putting this up to once again help remind myself to demolish my fears and not let anything that is not of God come into my mind.
For as 2 Timothy 1:7 says
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Please pray about this as I will be praying that it is well received.

Thanks mama I really needed that. DH keeps reminding me to stop worrying and turn it over to christ in prayer so I am trying to let go of all my worrys but it is hard and scary.:hugs: :hugs:

So glad everything is ok. I had something similar happen to me too. It was awful feeling...turned out to be some kind of stomach bug.
