*sigh**

He sometimes knows or makes it obvious when he knows he is peeing. 9 times out of 10 tells me when he is poopy..but is still in diapers, but LOVES undies, but i dont like the mess..
And he sits on the potty but it is unproductive..:giggle: he doesnt care to stand at the toilet.

How do i do this? With DD it was obvious. She was ready and PL in about 3 weeks cept at night.

His speech is right where it should be for a 2yo.so he can communicate enough to let me know he has to go.

I just dont know what to do next...wait till he's a lil more ready? Cause thats fine with me too..

I dont want to push it if he's not ready especially with the baby here now..

Reason im wondering is just because alot of people are giving me flack about not having started to "push" PT

And im comfortable with waiting but...im also not looking forward to it either :giggle:

How often is he going pee? Is he holding it for good periods of time? I tried pting my oldest at about 26 months and he'd still go pee about every 20 min. I waited til he was 2 1/2 and it didn't take him very long at all to potty train. With #2, I started noticing when I'd go to change him after an hour and a half or two hours and he was still dry so I'd have him sit on the toilet. I didn't push using the potty, just sometimes when I noticed he'd been dry for awhile. So with that and with watching brother, at 2 1/2 he potty trained in a little over 2 weeks.

I've been getting lots of flack for not pushing PT'ing too. My guys will be 3 in October and have been "using" their potties for a year now - but it's been more like if they ask to sit on them, we let them, and they don't do anything on them more often than not. Around their second birthday they started letting us know after they'd wet or dirtied their dipes (they were usually holding it for 2 hours or so) and they'd want to be changed, but over the past month or so they've been telling us that they're peeing or pooping as they're doing it, so we're taking that as a sign to encourage potty use a bit more. Our trainer stash is big enough that we're only using trainers during the day now. We started this on Tuesday and although they've each only made it to the potty once, they're getting better at telling us before they go. We don't want to push them, but I am hoping that this is it. Good luck!
