I thought it was a striking resemblance to this pic taken of cat and DS when he was little (yes thats swaddlers, we had no idea about cloth when he was born):
Looks like kitty knows where the warmest place in the house is. I love her expression in the second picture.

I love it....my boy rips the fur off my kitty and she'll still just lay there and take it like a champ. She'll do anything just to be close to him

That is so cute!
My kitty is NOT a cat loving baby now that baby E thinks it is hillarious to pull on her fur. Kitty has taken her revenge by finding a way (I have no idea how!) to jump in and sleep in E's crib :banghead:

Our cats ADORE our babies! One of them won't allow me to lock her out of the bedroom when the baby is sleeping--she simply MUST be in there to supervise. The strangest thing happened yesterday, though, our other cat who loves the babies when they're asleep was closed in the bedroom instead of the one who is always in there. I heard the baby wake up and chatter, then start pulling diapers off the changing table (her favorite pass time), so I just let her play for a while. After about 10 minutes I heard her start to fuss and I went in there to find our big, tough, boy kitty sitting in the crib RIGHT NEXT TO HER--like a dog on protective duty. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen!
Here's a picture of our cats with our first a few years ago--it's one of my favorite pictures of them.

awwww! i love babies and critters! lyric tolerates ariana well, but ariana doesn't provide food or love, so she is pretty much ignored. i'm always super careful of the two of them, though, since lyric outweighs ariana by a good five pounds! yes, she is a very large cat. no, she is not fat!

Anna and snowball have been best friends ever since she came home from the hospital, 5 months ago :giggle2:
This is Ellie, she was about 4 months old in this pic, with her "kitty mommy", kangaroo.

Kangaroo decided she loved Ellie b/c Ellie had cool soft stuff to lay on.
She decided she likes Baby Penny for the same reason.

Aww those are all too sweet!
DD and her Kitty are best friends. It still scares the daylights out of me, because this is our older than dirt, mean, wild cat. He used to be my grandfather's and I inherited him because the two of us were the only people that the cat would let touch him. Anyone else would get seriously clawed or bit.
I was on pins and needles the first time he hopped over to DD on the floor (he only has three legs), but he did nothing but start purring as she draped herself over him and smashed her face in his fur. They've been inseparable ever since. He actually gets very annoyed if I close the door to her room without letting him in there to sleep by her crib.
Our cats must be related - they even look alike! This was when Margo was maybe 4 or 5 months old? Scared the bejeezus out of me - this cat is NOT generally the friendliest feline :goodvibes:
