DD is about to turn 20 months in a couple of weeks. She's now realizing when she has gone "pee pee" but doesn't get the connection yet about sitting on her potty...that hasn't happened since 6 months when we were trying some EC.
But she knows when her diaper is wet now and tells me if she pees on the floor.

We are about to move in a month and a half I'm in no hurry particularly with the move coming up. But I want to make her more aware of when she's wet.

We use a combo of GADS and fitteds around hte house. Now that we're sizing up I started using the fitteds again. I go back and forth between pockets and gads.

So what's better to use in this case... she does go diaperless a lot as well.
thansk!

How about buying some not-great-quality dish cloths (that won't be very absorbant) and placing them in her diaper. As a liner, it will feel wet.

Or buy a yard of a not-very-absorbant synthetic material. This would be the opposite concept to microfleece, where moisture easily goes through to be retained in the stuffing. Perhaps some taffeta fabric? It would likely feel both cool and wet!

i would say probably the fitteds or pfs. something that doesn't have a fleece inner.

My son is 20 months and hates being wet. He asks to be changed and tells me if he went pee pee or poo poo. I have found that a trifolded infant prefold in a cover works well, or a coverless fitted if we are home just hanging out. He has refused to try sitting on the potty and I am not pushing it.

thanks for the suggestions, I've definitely noticed she tells me more often when it's a fitted and not her gads, although she still eventually tells me. she seems to love peeing when she's sitting on her chair diaperless :banghead: and the other day i showed her her potty after she peed on the floor and said pee pee here and then she said pee pee and pointed to the wet floor :giggle2: at least she's understanding the concept of being wet
