My sister is pregnant, and hoping to use the plain old flats for her new baby. She is trying to figure out the best place to buy them, and I'm just wondering where you all like to buy them from. Any suggestions?

hi ,,, walmart sells kushies flat diapers.
also using receiving blankets works as well too,,cute prints or buying diaper flannel from fabric store and serging with cute colored thread.

there are sites as well to show different folding techniques.

hope that helps:) we love flats,,wash dry quick and can use pins or snappis with wool cover or other type cover,,

Most people I know who use flats just get some fabric (terry or whatever) and cut em up and use those. I have some "brightbots" mini flats that are just like a square towel.

I got mine (Kushies ones) from Sears and Walmart - both have them. I would recommend finding other covers for them other than the Kushies covers though, the Kushies covers didn't work too well in my experience :)

I found some at an AWESOME deal! They are not in Canada, but with all the brokerage and shipping fees etc, they are just under $10 per dozen!! Check them out here (http://www.kidsurplus.com/itemDetail-item-09%20BRG%201454BD%7Ecatid-13%7Efromsearch-true.asp).

Editing to add: This was with buying 6 dozen to split between my sister and I. If you buy less, they will be a bit more expensive, but certainly still WELL worth it!
