Is anyone else up here waiting on things from diaperswapper mammas that's taking forever?
My stuff is taking an unreasonable amount of time and I'm seriously thinking I'm not going to be buying from other forums. I'm feeling a bit uneasy about these transactions taking more than a month to get here...
Am I being paranoid?

I paid for Priority mail shipping to Canada last year and it took 19 days! It was close to Christmas, but I was shocked! I'm not really sure why it takes so long!

19! It just doesn't seem fair! Maybe Customs is holding things up - I can't see what else it could be. It is so darn frustrating though.

Strange, most my things from the states show up sometime between 2-3 weeks. I don't think I've ever gone a month and I've always done FC shipping.

Usually I get my stuff within 2-3 weeks. I'd be getting worried after a month!

I had something go 6 wks once... it was held 23 days in customs. When you pay for priority you get a # that you can track it with. Priority or first class its all slow!
Most things take 3 wks...

Usually 3 weeks but it is the summer and things are busy. Also, there have been a few long weekends between us and the US that will be slowing things down too.

I have had 2 things in the last little while that took over a month...one from here, one from ebay, after it hit a month, i got paypal to refund my money...it's been over a week and I still haven't received either of those items! Both sellers claim that they were sent too...

I have this problem too. I had one package take just over 3 weeks. And I KNOW it was sent when the seller said, because it had tracking. Customs is ridiculous, as is Canada Post, IMO.

The last item I bought was here in 1 week from Florida! No kidding. Yet, the other items seem to range from 2 weeks to 3 weeks because they're held up in customs. It's frustrating!

i find that if i order from a store in the us i have it within a week but if i buy from fsot it can take upto a month

I just got something in a week too, I was shocked. Most things take around 3 weeks. Once I had an item take more than a month, I filed with paypal and the mom immediately returned funds. She claimed she sent it, but I was doubtful, afterwards I noticed that her rating was not 100% and she had a few other items never show up. (even though she claimed to me that it NEVER happened to her before...) And it never showed up.

At the beginning of this year, we were living in BC, so close to the border that we could see the US from our apartment window. Items I ordered from hyenacart or various US websites, shipping First Class International, were taking a minimum of 2 weeks to reach me, more often 3, and occasionally 4-5.
Now we're living in New Zealand. It's a 12 hour flight to the US. And anything I order from the US, still sent First Class International, is in my mailbox within a week. Sometimes 4-5 days.
It's crazy. :headscratch:

I'm having the same problem the other way too, I sent a bunch of diapers to the states two weeks ago, and I keep getting pms because they aren't there yet (US mamas are NOT used to waiting for thier dipes lol) After a month, I will talk with them about a refund, but it's frustrating, and I hope they don't post neg feedback for the delayed shipping. I didn't get tracking numbers because shipping from here is expensive enough...nexxt time I might bite the bullet and get tracking numbers.

I find that things get TO the states quickly enough, but coming the other way it can easily take 2-4 weeks for things to get here :(

The last 3 packages I've received from the US have arrived within 1 1/2 - 2 weeks of my purchase! I am shocked!

Anyone else from Ontario notice that items from far away, like California and Las Vegas get here quick (within 2 weeks), but items from New York take forever...and it's right there!

not here anything from cali takes a full 2 wks or more. Alot of my distributors are from there.... maybe its how close you live to the airport. Mine all come threw montreal or b.c

Yes, I've noticed this, too! I'll send something out for a trade, and the US mama will get it over a week before I get mine.

I figured it was just Cdn Customs slowing things down, but...
The fastest US shipping I had while living in Canada, was a package sent from Hawaii! :headscratch: The mama told me her packages routinely made it to Canada in 4-5 days - and she was right. Go figure. There's no rhyme or reason to it.
I do think that by and large, the random assessment of duty is what backs things up. Here in NZ the minimums for duty assessment are waaaaay higher, so I'm assuming that's why most packages sail through. Or perhaps we're just on the magical Hawaii/South Pacific mail-fairy delivery route. :mrgreen:
